Trip Report The Holiday Humdinger *COMPLETED*

I can't believe the Summer of @Tuvalu is over! Is there going to be a holiday humdinger trip report?!!

I couldn’t disappoint a very expectant mama-to-be, now could I? Especially one who was kind enough to provide the title for this trip report!

So here you go, @krisri18......and anyone else who’d like to follow along on yet another Tuvalu WDW adventure, HOLIDAY STYLE.

I plan on posting live updates and will write an expanded report (“Part Tu” @Tony the Tigger ) once I return home. After all, what else will I have to do in December?

Who: Tuvalu and Woody

When: November 27 - December 3, 2018
Where: I shouldn’t even have to tell you. My go-to.

So be on the lookout for us, @DisneyShe, @slipperalwaysfits @mcstensrud. We’ve packed our sweaters and jeans for the chilly weekdays (highs only near 60, lows in the 40s ~ WTH??) and our shorts and tees for the unseasonably warm weekend (highs in the 80s). Yeah, that 30 degree temperature swing isn’t going to help the colds Woody and I are starting with.....

But we’re going to DISNEY WORLD!!!!

I hope you are far enough south down there to escape what is headed our way. I take back fussing about the cold in Florida- we are looking at a foot of snow this weekend. I only like snow made of bubbles!

I just have a question: I know your Poly name, the animals are named after the Poly, and most of your trip reports are from the Poly.
I was just wondering why Wilderness Lodge this time? It is a beautiful resort, but am just curious?

Very late late for the party, with a good reason of getting into normal daily rhythm after 2 weeks in the World (sleeping of the jetlag and back at work again).

A few very very cold days but rather a cold day in Disney than at home .

We just got home yesterday! Wish we had run into ya'll! I was always looking around for potential WDW Magic sightings, but I came up short!

Darn, would have enjoyed meeting you too!

Why does it always have to go so fast? I swear you just arrived yesterday!

Seems that way to us, too. Disney days fly by.

This might sound silly but has he tried touching his finger to his forehead prior to touching the scanner?
That’s our go-to troubleshooting tip at work for fussy digits and/or fussy fingerprint scanners.

Woody said this is a great tip....unfortunately it doesn’t solve his biometrics problem.

From the looks of it we made it to Epcot on Saturday about the time you were leaving.

Did you get to see Stamos?

Just wondering, how long was your flight delayed leaving? We're supposed to arrive on Sunday, and there's a good chance of a lot of storms that day (so it looks for now). We're thinking of trying to move our flight to Saturday to avoid any weather related issues and when I just read your statement, I'm thinking that might be a good idea after all

Our flight home took off an hour late. Orlando weather can be unpredictable and can change quickly so don’t be surprised if the forecasted Sunday rain never materializes. But arriving a day early isn’t a bad way to start off a vacation!

On the John Stamos thing, I can’t help but say, if I had a dollar, for every time someone told me B had his eyes. Lol. I think it actually kind of makes me a bit jealous. He went gray very early, but I think he is cuter with it. The ladies and fellas of all ages, love him tho. lol, I guess he kinda does, but again I think he is cuter. (I may be biased tho)

While the Poly will always hold a special place in my heart, I also have a fondness for a few other resorts (POFQ, GF and even POP). Wilderness Lodge has always been my favorite place to stay during the holiday season. I love, love, love all the decorations, lights and majestic tree. And since the construction of the Boulder Ridge pool, WL has become a choice for summer stays too!

Two weeks?! I’m jealous. I could have easily spent another week, and so could Woody. Unfortunately there’s this work thing that gets in the way.....

Also, I’m VERY jealous of your Stamos experience, although I know you are are Full House lovers so I’m very happy for you too that you got to experience that. We saw the Beach Boys at Universal one year and were obsessively looking for him but no such luck. I follow his wife on Instagram and she’s such a Disney lover I’m very happy for her too haha

It was so nice running into you guys! I completely missed Em's shirt and now feel terrible that I didn't wish her a happy birthday - happy belated! My husband was so confused about who I was talking to, and I had to spend the next 20 minutes explaining to him how I "knew" y'all. Funny enough, once y'all moved rooms - I think you were almost directly above us at WL. Catching up on the rest of your trip now...
