Already mentioned...... he is supposed to be giving 2 thumbs up. Problem is the hand doesn't clench into a fist. I sat front row center and from that angle I realized it was trying for the thumbs up just not well done.

Doesn't look like these 'spikes' would slow anyone down. I think they're more decorative than anything else.

Those would definitely make it more difficult to scale the stage.
Particularly if the attemptee were less fit.

There's likely some truth to this.
Like how actors on stage have heavy makeup that works from afar.
But the Trump AA does look older and paler than the real thing.

If he ages as much as most presidents do, by the end of his term we will be talking about how much better the AA figure looks that he does in real life....

The effect is the same as the pretty rope fences and rocks along Seven Seas Lagoon. They're supposed to stop you or at least get you to think twice. If you want to be an idiot and go for it anyway, these things won't stop you. Of course, you'll probably be arrested and banned from Disney property forever.

It's worth noting that by the time this opened, it was shortly after 9/11, when 43's approval numbers were at their highest. He was seen as a true leader in the face of immense tragedy. With 45's approval numbers sitting around the lowest they've been, it's no great surprise that they didn't do any fanfare for him.

I don’t even know if the approval numbers have much to do with it. I think the country needed and wanted patriotic fanfare during that time period... I don’t think we would have seen that same type of opening no matter who ran for and won the presidency last year.

What is up with his AA? Something is seriously off man.

I'm kind of wondering if they don't even really try to recreate the presidents as they are but rather just use some generic AA face and then add the hair and a few other characteristics to try and just give a quick and dirty version of the President. This one is really bad... I mean If I didn't know it was supposed to be Trump I would have probably thought it was a bad version of Jason Robards... Just looks way way off when you ignore who it is supposed to be.

I think the resemblance from a distance is good, close up, it looks like Peter Boyle with a wig. I think the close up pics are problematic for most of these. Naturally the features would be exaggerated to give the right feel at theater distance. The movement of the AA is great, really smooth and natural.

You know it's gotta be bad when....the new animatronic is the opening joke on both the Fallon and Seth Meyers shows. And the audience reaction - loud laughter at just how bad it looked. And yes, I think both of them pointed out the tiny hands.

Having the opportunity to work on the stage and looking eye to eye with the former presidents... it is rather eery and at times it seems like they might be breathing or moving slightly. Yes, the AA looks off, but I would agree with the various prior posts with statements about Obama, Bush and Clinton. I didn't feel they were exact duplicates either. OVERALL...Tremendous job! I enjoyed the show this past Monday.

Seriously amazed at how well you have been able to keep this mostly a political and well behaved. Looked at some of the other sites and the rapid descent into vitriol, hate, and abuse from both sides was shocking and disheartening.

That is just one of the many reasons I love this site.
