Those would definitely make it more difficult to scale the stage.
Particularly if the attemptee were less fit.
Also don't forget if you make it by those "spikes" you're not on stage yet. There is an orchestra pit right there complete with chairs and music stands.

Doesn't look like these 'spikes' would slow anyone down. I think they're more decorative than anything else.

The effect is the same as the pretty rope fences and rocks along Seven Seas Lagoon. They're supposed to stop you or at least get you to think twice. If you want to be an idiot and go for it anyway, these things won't stop you. Of course, you'll probably be arrested and banned from Disney property forever.

It's worth noting that by the time this opened, it was shortly after 9/11, when 43's approval numbers were at their highest. He was seen as a true leader in the face of immense tragedy. With 45's approval numbers sitting around the lowest they've been, it's no great surprise that they didn't do any fanfare for him.
Oh I understand completely, I just found it to be an interesting contrast.

I don’t even know if the approval numbers have much to do with it. I think the country needed and wanted patriotic fanfare during that time period... I don’t think we would have seen that same type of opening no matter who ran for and won the presidency last year.

o_O What is up with his AA? Something is seriously off man.
I'm kind of wondering if they don't even really try to recreate the presidents as they are but rather just use some generic AA face and then add the hair and a few other characteristics to try and just give a quick and dirty version of the President. This one is really bad... I mean If I didn't know it was supposed to be Trump I would have probably thought it was a bad version of Jason Robards... Just looks way way off when you ignore who it is supposed to be.

Yeah, try to haul ones belly or legs across them and when the weight of flesh presses in - the are going to hurt.
Might be different if the scaler was athletic.

Upon seeing the short, distant clip on our local ABC news yesterday, my first impression was "That's Peter Boyle in a Trump wig".

(Pictures grabbed from an earlier post that kind of shows what I saw.)

Having the opportunity to work on the stage and looking eye to eye with the former presidents... it is rather eery and at times it seems like they might be breathing or moving slightly. Yes, the AA looks off, but I would agree with the various prior posts with statements about Obama, Bush and Clinton. I didn't feel they were exact duplicates either. OVERALL...Tremendous job! I enjoyed the show this past Monday.

Again, no politics. And yes, this IS a moderated forum; please read the Terms and Rules at the bottom right hand corner before posting. You have agreed to the terms, including the fact that posts may be removed or edited at any time without explanation - although we do generally give a reason.

In this case, people have been asked - repeatedly - to refrain from making political statements in this thread. A political forum has been added specifically for those who just can't help themselves. There is even a thread discussing this very topic, where you can make all of the pro or anti Trump comments you wish - as long as you do not personally attack other posters.

A mom's work is never done and often unappreciated.

Seriously amazed at how well you have been able to keep this mostly a political and well behaved. Looked at some of the other sites and the rapid descent into vitriol, hate, and abuse from both sides was shocking and disheartening.

That is just one of the many reasons I love this site.

Thank you for all your hard work Mom! We really do appreciate you (even when you have to bring out Molly the Mallet aka the Banhammer).
