Only speculation of course but he isn’t really a new president. He’s already in there, he’d just be changing positions. Maybe that’s what they’re getting at.
Well he is a new President as he's counted as the 47th President. Previously he was the 45th.

I doubt it will take long to do this. Usually it takes months with a new President. But they have Trump already and basically all they have to do is switch him and Biden and maybe record a new message. It shouldn't take long, maybe a month or two if I were to guess?
Switching the current Trump and Biden figures isn’t “all they have to do”. The current Trump AA doesn’t have the mechanisms for facial movements/speaking. I’m also not entirely sure what arm movements it can do either. It’ll be closed for longer than a “month or two”.

The figure they used for his non-presidential role is entirely new and looks excellent. The sculpt will presumably transfer to the new Presidential speaking role.
That’s the best figure on stage in terms of accurately looking like its real life counterpart. Granted, it doesn’t have the mechanical components in the face, which is one of the reasons why it looks extremely lifelike. Even the post-presidency W. Bush and Obama figures didn’t look too much like them at the time they left office. With the mechanical face/speaking components taken into consideration, I still think this Trump will look a million times better.

All they need to do is switch the head and body molds between the two figures. The internal components all remain the same. The old limited motion Trump becomes Biden and the full range Biden becomes Trump.

I wouldn't read too much into this.

ETA: I'm not basing this on any "inside" information. Rather, I'm basing it on my experience working at Disney and knowing how things like this can very easily get bungled.
Agree its just the sign they chose to use this time probably because were welcoming back a president and not a new one. I would imagine an improved Trump animatronic and other show updates/changes, tech upgrades etc. Putting the muppets into this would be an absolute abomination, unless the show were being removed completely. I think we would have known that was happening by now. Not to mention how awful it would look on Disney to remove it right now just because Trump was reelected. Also, if this show was being removed, I think all the signage out front would have been covered up/removed, and that didn't happen. The refurbishment sign has Hall of Presidents on it as well.

Correct he’ll carry both numbers, but based on how they handle Grover Cleveland, he’ll only be called in the roll call once. He also isn’t new to the HoP because he’s already in there and already has a movement profile and already has recorded dialogue.

Like I said above, I can’t see anything changing from what was there in 2017-2021. Unless they wanna go wild, I think they’ll just be reinstating that version of the show. I could see them not referring to the new president if they’re just gonna have it be the same as it was the first time. That wouldn’t really be new.

The company has become much more risk averse in terms of politics in the last year or two that I'd be quite surprised if they didn't re-open this with Trump. If they really were going to close the attraction at this time and make it something else, they had to announce doing so before November 2024 when there would be no argument of "picking sides".

How about: "... Herbert Hoover, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt,
Harry S. Truman, Harry S. Truman..."
William Henry Harrison didn’t serve long enough to have his entire name mentioned if you get your name read once per term. Should just say “Will” and move on to John Tyler.

Man if there was ever a attraction that they could just fill with IP and have me not care about... this would be it. I would still keep an American show thought to keep the pretty cool preshow area. But I think something like this could benefit from Muppets or hell even Hamilton (that was an old rumor and while its not the cultural phenomenon it was, it would still excite a lot of theater fans)
