Has the Wii U become officially outdated?

They’re still releasing a few games for the Wii and WiiU

Ok guys.. here’s what I got.. let me know if I should subtract or add.. only a few days left!!

Console-
Nintendo Switch with Red and Blue joy cons. (This was harder to find than I thought.. not too hard, but not in stock at the first two stores that I stopped at.)

Games-
FIFA 18
Super Mario Odyssey
Just Dance 2018 (almost bought for the Wii, but decided to get it for the Switch)

Accessories-
Carrying case.
Screen protector.
Charger.

You might pick up a Sony XBR75X940E 75-Inch 4K Ultra HD TV and an OPPO UDP-203 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player to go with that rig so that when the kids need a break from gaming they can kick back and watch some movies. I know that would make me happy if I was a kid.

Not happening. He keeps asking for his own tv. I told him that he can have his “own tv” when he moves out of the house.lol

I know I’m a minority.. but I only own 2 TVs, and none are in a bedroom. By contrast, when married we had 8 TVs.. one in our bedroom.. I tried to nix that one but it wasn’t happening, I made my husband have a cover built to hide it from view.

I’m not a tv kinda gal.. it drove me nuts during my marriage. 7 of the TVs were always on.. 1 on GoalTV then next on Bloomberg, rinse, repeat all the way thru the house. Ugh..I cringe thinking about it.lol. Too many screens!!!! I should add that they were mostly on mute.. but still drove me nuts.

@Mike S , do you think my list is missing anything? Will I need extra storage with those games and if I let him pick a few online?
The games that require extra storage will have a blatant notice on the case.

What you’re missing is Mario Kart and Zelda, and don’t say “I’ll just make him stick to the Wii version.” That game is going on 10 years old next April!!! Let him experience something NEW!!!!!!!!!!

Lol :hilarious:

Yes but he still enjoys it!! Maybe next year..

I’ve been going back and forth on Zelda, and even Minecraft actually.. I just worry that adding a 4th game may be more games than he will have time to play. How many games do people usually start with? And keep in mind that my kid is only going to have a few hours of game play per week.

I just checked FIFA.. it’s 14gb. Hopefully not all games are that much!!!!

Oh and on more question.. can I let him play online but monitor it? Is there a way to block curse words?
