I randomly found Shadow of War on sale for half price. I've heard it's a bit grindy and microtransaction-y, I'll let y'all know when I play.

Well this one is new and better. Wii is ooooooooooooooold ;)
Yes, but it still works and we have a million (rounding up ;) ) accessories for it. Plus, we like Just Dance, which shockingly is still made for the old Wii. I will buy Just Dance for the Wii until it dies. Ha ha.

Kiddo has a bday in April, he can pick whatever games he wants for the Switch at that time..but, I’ll do what I can to discourage Mario Kart and new wheels.
Mean Mom, I know.

tbh I prefer mario kart wii for local play, but 8 deluxe has online play which is fun, but kinda frustrating.

At his age I can’t remember what system was out, but I’m old, so old that I remember having Atari and Colecovision.lol. When Super Nintendo came out we got it right away.. I was the first to have it out of my friends. I would invite them over and we would have “Power Pad” parties.ha ha. If you don’t know, it was a pad that laid on the floor and went to an Olympic style game. My mom would bring us lemonade and cold towels because we would play for so long working up a sweat. There was 2 other games that I loved- Paperboy and Duck Hunt.
BUT—-back then I still rode my bike around the neighborhood or to a candy store.. I played hide and go seek or kick the fan nightly with my neighbors.. I didn’t have an iPad and a Kindle, and although my dad did have a Mac, I didn’t spend much time on it.. only one game called Castle.
NOW- kids Do have iPads and Kindles and use computers more..and they don’t play kick the can and ride their bikes around the neighborhood with neighbor friends. So I feel like I need to be more careful than my parents were.

ETA- just tried to look up the dates and sent my mom a text. She was a little surprised by why I had the question.. we had Atari, colecovison, then Nintendo.. then power pad which went with that system.. then Super Nintendo.. but by the time Super Nintendo came out I was in 8th grade.. so my younger siblings played it more than I did. I’m so old. Neither one of us remember which system Paperboy was on.. but I think it was the original Nintendo. I’d love to see a reboot of that game.

I was playing smash brawl, which at the time was t for teen. I felt like a rebel. I'm sure now it would be e 10+ if it came out today lol

I should have said this in my post above.. but I remember when Grand Theft came out.. I loved Tetris at that time.. also Tony Hawk and a game called IQ (I think that was the name?).. but anyway, I don’t remember Grand Theft Auto being as graphic as it is now.

Sorry to cut up your post but is this the game you’re talking about?

If so it’s rare and worth a good amount of money.
You know that Nintendo bought the rights to this game and renamed it World Class Track Meet, a much more common game, right?
