Any idea of what flavors and what styles of ice cream they'll offer? Like floats, sundaes, and such? Or just cones and bowls?

So, pardon me for asking, where exactly is the Fountainview located in Future World? Is it near Communicore East or Communicore West?
I say this because as of Aug. 19, today, Sunday, it has been 14 years, yes FOURTEEN YEARS, since I last visited Walt Disney World.
As well, was the Fountainview just the "Fountainview"? If this is sort of "new" since post-August 1993, what used to occupy that space?
Oh, and by the way, I will be finally making my return trip to WDW this fall, in October. So, in about 60 days or so, it will be 14 years and TWO months away from the mouse house.

The test period for Fountain View: The Ice Cream Parlor will begin tomorrow (I'll be there for sure! :slurp: ). They will have hand-scooped ice cream, soda floats, and other ice cream treats.
Sounds like it's a temporary thing, although in this heat I can see it being extremely popular. When I was there taking photos today, guests kept stopping by and going "Oh look - ice cream" then getting disappointed that it wasn't open. I can see the test period during into a permanent thing, much like Character Spot.

did they word it as temporary... cause then it can last 1 day to over 5 years
Glad to see they are using empty space for great ideas, besides like they can serve wine there with kids wanting to see characters, what best to go with characters than sugar laced ice cream! or a good float...

We have way too many WoL's on Disney property right now...
This was a wonderful idea rather than yet another conference space.
Now if we could only get Superstar TV back in the Studios, rather than just another empty space sitting there.

The Land, France, Norway? Let me see where can I currently get IceCream that's not frozen into a Mickey Shaped bar :veryconfu Nowhere that I can think of. So let's be happy we are getting something new that's not already offered.

France, Norway - World Showcase isn't open until 1100 (too late for breakfast) unless its the character meals
