Rumor The EPCOT Hotel

Maybe someone should advise them that filing permits does not necessarily mean a BIGHUGENEW© project is about to commence. On second thought, scratch that. It's more fun this way.

BTW - Loved your response to the poster who said, "They don't file permits to set up for Food and Wine...". :hilarious:

Yeah, but my response will likely be deleted soon. I posted longer responses and actual examples and both posts were deleted. They don't tolerate anyone who challenges their narrative.

Ironically they site which cannot be named missed the forest for the trees. There actually was a permit today that is probably indirectly related to the Epcot hotel. This permit is for the storm water retention pond that we saw a SFWMD permit for a while back.

5/9/2018 - Epcot - Barton Malow Company
1713 Epcot Resorts Blvd - Excavate 35 acre storm water pond, outfall storm pipeline and overflow weir

That would be the big blue blob (if I read the maps correctly). The blue blob covers 63 acres, but only 35 is becoming excavated.

The Orange blob is buildable forest. The actual resort, if it goes there, could also eat up backstage buildings and parking.

Corless is too busy filing copyright claims against DSNY News Cast (Who does properly source their content).

Corless needs to realize this should be a hobby and not so serious .... I can usually appreciate snark but anytime he mocks someone who's trying to give him some actual sincere advice makes it hard to look at him than more than a grown man-child. I picture stomping of the foot and temper tantrums. IDK. I think he could attempt to be more approachable and willing to admit when he's jumped the gun. That would go a long way.

Many of them also seem either jealous or resentful of the success WDWMagic has. I had no idea how many were obsessed with what gets talked about on here. LOL

While I do agree he gets a little too immature at times it is his full time job not a hobby. Many blog sites now are more than hobbies.

Well, I get that and I'm glad he seems serious about it. But it shouldn't be a full time job. IMHO of course. lol

Since it's his full time job, perhaps he should a) actually check out stories before posting and b) credit those to whom credit is due.

In fact, given that it's full time job, he really has no excuse not to be doing both the above.

I have no bones about him making a full time gig out of being a Disney Fan, but he shouldn't go after others when they are doing the right thing.

Same here. If he wants it to be his full time job, more power to him, I don't begrudge that. But I think the persona he puts out and the apparent lack of fact checking leaves him sort of on the bottom of the more respected bloggers out there. If it's his full time job, he needs to act like it and not worry about certain things. A few of them out there act entitled and it's not pretty. But there are so many good ones out there and I respect them a lot. I don't know that he's earned the respect, so to speak. JMO, of course. I'm really not trying to knock him but it's just my observations based on how he handles things. Stop being immature about things if this is your real, serious job.

I suppose we've wasted enough time talking about him, lol.

I imagine this hotel ISN'T going at the front entrance?

Situations like this, do make me appreciate what @wdwmagic has created here (hopefully it is his full time gig). I think this community has continuously improved over the last couple of years.

It has.

I think @wdwmagic is the best. And it's clear many are jealous of it. If they spent more time making themselves and what they do better and less on being jealous or envious ... you don't worry so much what the other is doing if you're secure in what you're offering (of course you have to be "aware" of the competition, so to speak, but I think you know what I mean).
