this is just a mockup based on Mr. EPCOT's photo, but I think they'll just slap a duplicate disneyland tiki sign onto the frame.

It maybe be something easily cut, but water/the fountain is a valuable element of the show. It will be unfortunate if they haven't included it.

If a screen appears anywhere in that attraction I'll be ready to toss a few Dole Whips!
I wouldn't mind a fountain that combines the elements of water and fire, but I guess that might singe the little birdies tail feathers! LOL

Not anymore. The Offenbach number is the one that prominently featured the dancing waters of the fountain, and that has been cut from the Disneyland version. Now it's reduced to that brief mention posted above. Hopefully they'll restore both the number and the fountain, perhaps having it do some new "tricks" - but I doubt it...

And it is, without most guests realizing, a nice special effect. Because the only reason the water is gushing that high without the water column collapsing prematurely under it's own weight, is that the water is pumped up in a thin glass tube. John Hench describes how they designed it, in his book "Designing Disney".
I really would appreciate if it would come back, a new pump cannot be that expensive, can it?

I am quite sure that the Barcarole (Offenbach number) will not return, it never really fit into the Tiki setting and I heard and read that many guests didn't like it, it took too long and made the entire show too long. That's why they cut it in Disneyland.

I have waited for this for YEARS and finally it has become true. Of course we all knew what would happen when Disney officially greenlit the refurb but finally seeing that stupid sign with that incredibly obnoxious Iago removed is deeply satisfying. It's a little like during the Iraq war when they tossed down that statue of Saddam Hussein, he is really gone and he won't come back.

And you are living 2 hours away so it's not exactly difficult to do such shorttimed planning. We will have to wait but we will follow everything in less 2 weeks as if we were there, here and on youtube.
