The Disneymooners...My Fantasy-tastic Disney Honeymoon!

Well friends, it's been about a month since my new wife and I disembarked from our 8 day honeymoon adventure to WDW and on the DCL Fantasy so I figured it was a perfect time to re-live it all for your reading enjoyment! With 500 pictures, three bags full of goodies, and countless memories, my wife and I had the time of our lives. I must say that this was the greatest way to kick off our lives together and I encourage everyone to try it...

Here are a few photos from our big day, September 14th... A lot of your wedding planning involved a Disney theme. Our showers, our wedding rehersal night as well as the wedding itself.

The wedding was fantastic and I couldn't have had a better experience if I tried. I married the love of my life and she shares the same passion for many of my interests and the biggest is an obvious one, Disney!

The planning for our wedding and honeymoon had a great assist from our(WDWMagic) fearless WDW/DCL guru, Tammy. She was instrumental in helping us plan for the honeymoon, but also helping our guests, friends and family contribute to our honeymoon, and for that Heather and I are greatly appreciative... Take a bow!! :)

After the wedding, we had to wait a long week for our honeymoon to begin. We counted the hours, minutes, and seconds to the day we were leaving, September 21st...We decided to wait a week after to get things in order for our time away and not have to leave the day after. It also allowed us to book our trip on the Fantasy and begin our "cruise career"(thanks sweetpee and hubs ;)) on the newest ship.

Many people encouraged us to fly down a night prior to the cruise in case of any misshaps and things, so we booked a night at All-Star Sports, where we stayed on our first WDW trip together, and then begin our cruise adventure the next day, Sept 22...

Sept 21st-4am was the "get up time" we decided on to get us to the airport for our 7am flight. Packing was finished the night before, so it was just a quick shower and jump in the car for the 45 minute ride to Midway Airport. We actually live 15 minutes from Chicago O'hare but Southwest flies there to Orlando and the fares were great for this time of year and no bag fees! :D We brought an extra garment bag for our suits and dresses so not paying an extra fee for the 3rd bag was good. Heather's dad got us there in no time(lead foot!). Check in and security was a breeze however the gate was at the other end of the terminal so we had to hoof it, thank God for moving walk ways...Got a bite to eat from our vacation staple food source, McDonalds and bought some water for the plane ride. He had about 25 minutes before boarding so we grabbed a seat and
relaxed...

Boarding was quick and painless buuuuut the departure was not! Details next!

Pete took our orders, it was pre-fixe soup, Corn Three ways and I chose a Tuna Sashimi appitizer and Heather had the Shrimp starter. If you have never had the Corn Three Ways soup, it was fantastic.. We really enjoyed it.. Popcorn flavored soup with cornbread and caramel popcorn on the side....Lovely!

We both ordered the New York Strip and we shared the Mushroom Pasta, which was quite good. During the dinner, the TV screens played Disney cartoons and movies, with a "dinner/food" theme. I could tell you what they were about but I dont want to give it away... After dinner was served and right before dessert, the show started....

The show was fantastic and well worth the effort to change our reservations. I would have been bummed if I missed it, Heather felt the same... After a great dessert and another drink, we headed down to Europa and the Tube for the nights game show, POP. It was a pop culture, triva game with a Double Dare physical challenge element... It was pretty fun and our side of the club won! I volunteered for a question and a physical challenge and past them both with flying colors... After the game, we stayed to dance a bit and have a few more drinks.

We headed back up around 1am as we were able to sleep in the next day...
We had an awesome day in St Thomas and we had a great experience at Animator's Palate! The next day would be at sea as we headed to Disney paradise, Castaway Cay!

Well I had to read yours, now didn't I? LOL...

Of course you have to put Sweetpee... No one knows your real name ;)... Great time though. We sat right next to the screen and it was great. The pre-show movies were cool too.

I will most likely get more done this weekend. I have school conferences today and I'm going to see the Blackhawks play tomorrow, so Saturday ill have some time.. Only two more days left and one is your fave place, CC!

Yaaaayyy...CC! You know, with the new itineraries being released for 2014 there's a bunch of double dip 5-nights at CC (visits twice in the same cruise). I told Tracey we could book 2 of these 5-nights in a row so we could go to Castaway 4 times in a 10 day stretch. He gave me a look and said, "I think that might actually be a bit excessive." Really???? Is that possible???? So we ended up booking the 15-night westbound Panama Canal for May 2014...and it doesn't have even 1 stop at Castaway Cay! That's so...unnatural...and wrong! o_O Maybe the full day at Key West will take some of the sting out of it for me. :p

Obsessive, yes! But hey, people say I obsess over WDW sometimes, Can't a brotha/sista have a hobby??? Lol

I wish we spent more time at Castaway. But 4 times would be great, 2 even..... I liked your cruise with a stop there, then WDW(or vice versa).

There's definitely worse things to obsess over or get addicted to, that's for sure! ;)
