As effective as the efforts to influence have been, I’m not sure she would have more pressing issues.
The latest round of the campaign seemed to focus around lowering expectations ahead of Disney’s Aug. 4th earnings webcast. Hard to say whether it worked or not, but lots of people around here were really starting to worry before the call, but afterword responded with, “well, that wasn’t great, but it could have been MUCH worse.”

But I was under the impression the Neighbor Lady is a reference to an actual source.

Interesting.
If TP was tasked by someone within TWDC to "share" information to get an idea of how people would react, etc... it makes perfect sense for him to concoct some backstory about living conveniently near enough to a Disney Upper Management-type "neighbor lady" and being so buddy buddy with her that she would be comfortable confiding in him (and subsequently us) insider information.
It keeps him immune to any suspicion while allowing him to fulfill his role, maintain anonymity and keep us fans salivating every time he mentions her name.

There are lots of things one can do!
The short list o' fun -
Watch a Disney movie you have not seen in 30 years ( 15 years for you young folk ) that is not a animated feature.
Build a replica of Sleeping Beauty Castle out of standard size playing cards. No tape or glue allowed.
Start a 'Disney Parks vlog' account as a biting parody of other 'Disney Parks vlog' accounts that annoy you.
Cut your hair to resemble Bob Iger just for fun.
Recreate a satisfactory recreation of a extinct Disneyland Park Attraction in your home with only cardboard, paint, and thumb tacks.
Make you own pretend 'Dole Whip Floats' at home with half melted sherbert and yellow food coloring.
Have your own personal 'Disney Marathon' by dressing strangely in licensed Disney gear and then jogging around your neighborhood for a couple of hours.
Melt down every Disney Trading Pin you own in a homemade smelting unit and get creative with molten hot metal.
Bonus activities -
Resolve gross injustices ( locally, or worldly ).
End world hunger.
Establish world peace.
