Joker teaser trailer. I'm calling it now, Joaquin Phoenix wins an Oscar for this role.
I don't know about that but it certainly looks like Taxi Driver.
Is the movie set in the 1970s?

Not sure when it takes place. Just in Gotham. Even though he probably won't be in it(?), only referenced, it's still up in the air if this all takes place before or after Bruce Wayne becomes the bat.Is the movie set in the 1970s?
Just scrolled through the cast on IMDB, and found the answer to this.Even though he probably won't be in it(?), only referenced, it's still up in the air if this all takes place before or after Bruce Wayne becomes the bat.

So to answer @Bairstow 's question, whatever decade(s) pre-Batman Gotham City takes place in.
And can we all stop for a moment and appreciate how Alfred has gotten progressively drunker-looking per Batman reboot."Gangboy".... Worst. Superhero name. Ever.
Not really a spoiler if they've got him billed in the cast like that.Well hell, that's a bit of a spoiler.
I feel like we’ve been waiting for this movie for years, even though WW only came out two years ago.First teaser poster released earlier this week at CinemaCon for next summer's 'Wonder Woman 1984'. There was also footage shown at the event giving a first look at former SNL star Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva (Cheetah). Apparently, Cheetah is the equivalent to WW as the Joker is to Batman.
So it seems the WW movie franchise is following the Nolan Dark Knight series blueprint of using the first film to build up the main hero, then wait until the second film to introduce us to their main adversary. I personally prefer this slow build rather than throwing too much into the frame, such as 1989's Batman, which seemed rushed, though wasn't terrible.
Simple teaser poster. Raises questions as to the static/video look whether or not that plays an important part of the story, or it's simply setting the time period with a 80's VCR feel.

Saw it last week. That movie is gold. DC needed this.Shazam's made a little over 200 million overall and it's only in it's 2nd weekend.
As a huge fan of DC and someone who grew up with the JLA cartoon the movie was a HUGE letdown. I am glad DC is making things right for now.I'm not really a DC guy but I'm about 45 minutes into Justice League and it's pretty meh.
No thanks !Jared Leto Would ‘Definitely’ Play The Joker Again
