So Dwayne unfollowed WBD and Black Adam's Instagram pages yesterday which seems to indicate we won't be seeing him again in any more DC movies for the foreseeable future.

At this rate it's safe to assume he's not the box office draw he thinks he is.

No one was smelling what the Rock was cooking up. Or they did... and retched.

A lot of his output lately outside of the Jumanji movies (which he can't really claim credit for) have been stinkers. He's becoming a Hollywood version of Hulk Hogan quickly (which is funny since his wrestling gimmick was built to be the anti-Hogan).

Quite frankly he is not as good as he thinks he is. People really started taking notice when he opened the Superbowl with a crappy performance.

Oh Im sire there is a multi million dollar deal waiting for him at Marvel.
Oh I hope so. I get DC wants to do a younger superman. But I think I would have tried to age him down. Cavill was my favorite Superman hands down. Fans seemed to think he was a bright spot of the DC universe.

I really do hope Marvel picks him up. I think he would be great to put in Xmen as Beast. Or would captain Britain be to spot on. Lol

IMO Cavill should stay away from comic book tentpoles for a while. The last thing we want is for him to turn into another Christopher Reeve or George Reeves.

I know I don't have to foot the bill, or worry about making money but when Snyder is done with the Rebel Moon films, they should just let him to his JL part 2. Then have all of it to rest. Announcing an intention like that to cap it all off would leave them with far more fan support.

Spending $70 million to appease internet trolls, who originally, hated Superman versus Batman, but now proclaim it to be one of the greatest works of Cinema history because it was made by snyder, was a really bad idea. Because, they now think they can get whatever they want by raising Heck on the internet.

I'm a fan of Synder's DC films and I'm glad they released his Justice League film. The notion that anyone who wanted that was an internet troll is simply not true.

But even as a fan of those films -- continuing down that road is a dead end for the DCEU. Not only are the films not universally loved, but its built on a poor foundation in an attempt to catch up to Marvel. Rather than build out their universe slowly, they released their 'Iron Man' (Man of Steel) and then went straight into their 'Captain America: Civil War' (BvS).

Combine that with a myriad of poor box office performances, in-fighting, and a leadership vacuum, the only solution is a full reboot.

People wanting the Snyder cut doesn't make them trolls.

However, the ones who posted daily demanding it and demeaning every other superhero film and every person involved in every other superhero film is what made them trolls. And when they got their Snyder cut?... They continued to dump on every other director film. And they continued to demand every superhero film be by Snyder. They're deranged.

So then $70 million wasn't spent just to appease trolls. There were genuine fans that wanted to see it including the stars of the film that supported its release.

So what % of the fanbase does this behavior make up then? Because I could say the same about people who post thousands of times on a Disney website demanding xyz, but that certainly would be a insignificant percentage and meaningless to Disney's decisions.

Yeah, internet shenanigans isn't the real world. The extreme majority of people who enjoyed Snyder's DC films wouldn't even know what the "trolls" are doing or even that they exist. I'm a Snyder DC fan, I spend too much time online and I barely even have an idea.

A lot of this online nonsense is basically nothing but used to create narratives and to push whatever points or arguments people want. As if there's some authority to it.

That is the consequence of what I typed. So... yeah. Thanks for rephrasing what I said, I guess.

You apparently haven't seen these Twitter trolls. On this forum, I've not seen constant bashing of non-favored directors calling them pedophiles or worse, have you? There is no comparison.

I try not to follow Twitter trolls because it's very unhealthy.

But you're deflecting my question about the percentage of the fans that are these trolls. You follow this stuff so I feel you would know better.

If I had to guess I would say it's the minority, because any fan of Man of Steel, BvS, etc that I've talked with seems to be fairly level headed, but maybe I'm in the minority bubble of fans.

My expectations for the DCEU are pretty low at this point. Not because Gunn isn’t moving forward with the same actors, but because Gunn seems to be starting out trying to be the new Snyder.

You know who’s name I didn’t know until like 10 movies into a successful comic cinematic universe? Kevin Feige’s. He earned my appreciation by doing good work, not by making himself the center of things.

I get that the DCEU is in a VERY different place than when the MCU was gearing up. But I’m bored with rockstar movie producers, and I think the DCEU deserves better.
