Just posting my intro for now...
TheOriginalTiki Proudly Presents: "The S.E.A. World Sciences and Technology Pavilion"
Future World as a concept has limitless potential, but sadly plenty of people agree that the area in its current state leaves something to be desired. Memories of long since extinct attractions such as Horizons and the original Journey Into Imagination linger as new fangled but not nearly as memorable experiences such as Soarin' and Mission Space are all the rage. It's time to get Future World back on track, and it's time to focus on a specific part of the concept of "future" that needs to come back to Epcot...That part is how the dreamers of yesteryear such as Jules Verne and Thomas Edison imagined the future to be.
Don't worry, this isn't a tie in to the "Tomorrowland" movie. With my replacement of Wonders of Life I have to tie in a lot of mythology from other Disney parks while bringing it full circle into what will perhaps be the crowned jewel of Future World when all is said and done. The S.E.A World Sciences and Technology Pavilion will be a throwback, "retro-future" view of what the future could have been through the minds of 20th century dreamers and innovators. With a distinct Steampunk astetic and a ton of call backs to other figures in the Disney park mythology, I aim to make this pavilion into a fitting, bold, and never before seen element of Future World that can liven up the entire area.
Exterior and General Layout
The exterior of the building will maintain its dome design, but painted in a copper tone to reflect the time period the attraction is set in. There is an additional show building added onto what's already there, but it will be disguised by a thick line of foliage and virtually invisible to the average guest.
There will be a large fountain outside the theater with a variety of different characters that one might recognize if they're fans of Disney attractions from overseas. Captain Nemo stands proudly over the rest, while below him stand Harrison Hightower with the Tiki god from Tokyo's Tower of Terror in hand along with Lord Henry Mystic and his faithful monkey companion Albert on his shoulder.
No, not THAT Monkey...
For those not in the know, The Society of Explorers and Adventurers aka "S.E.A" is a group of like-minded adventurous minds which has woven it's way into the backstory and mythology of Tokyo's Tower of Terror, Mystic Manor, and most recently in the new queue of Magic Kingdom's Big Thunder Mountain. These will be the characters tying the pavilion together.
Hanging above the building is a banner reading "S.E.A. Welcomes Dreamfinder". Dreamfinder's induction into S.E.A. will serve as the backstory of this pavilion and what clearly ties it to EPCOT. Above the banner is a stone sign reading "The S.E.A. World Sciences and Technology Pavilion" .
Once inside, guests are treated to a projected night sky under the dome. A lot of the demonstrations have made way for space for more elaborate attractions, but the pavilion still maintains a trade show sort of vibe. Steampunk is the word of the day when it comes to the designs on interior architecture, with exposed bronze gold spikes making up the structure holding up the dome.
There are four main parts of the pavilion. Right when you walk in the reservation desk for "Nemo's"; the pavilion's premier dining experience, is to your left while the theater for "The Magic of Technology" is to your right. All the old theater spaces have been removed, making for a brand new floor plan for the building.
Adventures Thru The Inner Body
This will be a D-Ticket omnimover dark ride that fuses together elements of "Adventures Thru Inner Space" and some concepts from Rolly Crump and Geoff Burke's "Life Health Pavilion" into an original attraction that serves as a spiritual successor and follow up to "Inner Space", using the same nameless professor character in the iconic role Paul Frees made famous. This time, samples of Frees' old narration will be mixed in with Corey Burton providing a brand new narration.
Instead of being zapped into an atom, this time guests will be injected into a blood vein and sent on a trip deep into the human body, from the heart to the brain. The queue will be located at the back end of the pavilion, with the show building extending out from the main exterior.
The set up for the queue will be remarkably similar to the original attraction, with guests watching Omnimovers travel into a large scientific device which then transitions into miniature Omnimovers being shot into a projected image on the wall. The Mighty Microscope will be replaced by a large medical needle. Omnimovers this time around will be fashioned to look like red blood cells and will lack the dome design and instead is an open air vehicle much like the Omnimovers of Buzz Lightyear.
The "cells" will travel out of the boarding area into the syringe part of the needle, while the point is faced towards a projected microscopic image of a blood vein on the wall. As guests travel down the ride's first hallway, they will be video taped, and their live images will appear in a realistic projection within the needle, an illusion made more convincing with dark lighting. Inside the physical needle will be miniature Omnimovers heading towards the blood vein in a callback to the classic Mighty Microscope effect.
This ride will incorporate the most projection technology out of any attraction Disney's ever attempted, while still having a few physical sets to complete the environment. Guests travel down a hallway surrounded by other projected blood cells before reaching the largest room of the attraction...the heart.
A loud beating will be heard throughout the entire room as guests see an elaborate AA of a human heart hanging above them suspended by blood vessels. Corey Burton as the narrator comes on. Much like the original attraction, the narration is meant to composed of the recorded thought waves of the professor the first time he went on this adventure. The professor ruminates about how spectacular it is seeing a live beating heart in person.
We enter a tunnel filled with fans, and bottom of our vehicles experience a floating sensation "Oh no!" the narrator chimes in. "The subject appears to be in a bout of intense coughing, this isn't part of the plan..."
We "float" up via a Hydrolator style effect through projected lungs.
"Once I get to the mouth, one thing's for sure...I cannot leave the body. I need to leave the body in a flow of blood, if I'm the only cell, I'll parish!"
We enter physical set of the mouth, complete with an AA tongue and a pair of teeth extending from above and beneath us.
"I have to head from the brain!" the narration says as we travel up another light incline. Sure enough, the final room in the body is infact the brain. We are in a circular dome room with the brain in the center, a set up similar to the Haunted Mansion's seance room with the Omnimovers traveling around the object of interest. The narration says we need to get into a blood vein and cause a disruption. This will lead to a nose bleed...a perfect way to eject ourselves from the body with a steady flow of blood.
And sure enough, that's what happens. After traveling down another hallway surrounded by projected blood cells, we come out of a nostril and travel out of the body through the nose. The stream of blood caused by the nose bleed then goes onto a metal table. Above us is the familiar sight of the eyeball looking down on us through the Mighty Microscope. We then travel back to the boarding area to the tune of "Miracles Through Blood Cells", a reworked "Miracles Through Molecules".
Around the World in 80 Days Simulator
Replacing "Body Wars" as the main simulator thrill ride of the pavilion will be "Around the World in 80 Days", a simulator which ties the famous Jules Verne novel in with the S.E.A mythology. The plot is that Harrison Hightower (curator of Tokyo's Tower of Terror) sought out famous inventor Professor Fogg to aid him on his travels collecting rare artifacts, specifically to design a flying machine which would shorten the time of the trip significantly for the already aging Hightower, who wanted to devote as much of the remainder of his life as he could to the study of the relics he'd been collecting. The ride will star none other than world famous actor and Martial Artist, Mr. Jack Chan!!
Naaah, just kidding! Forget that version of "80 Days" entirely, because this is going to be a completely different take.
In the queue, we see relics from Hightower's collection stored in what looks like an old timey airport hanger. This is Hightower's storage room for the time being until he can complete his collection. The evil Tiki from ToT can be seen with trademark glowing green eyes. Traveling down a hallway, we see a collection of blueprints tacked to the walls for Professor Fogg's flying machine. We learn that Hightower is so fond of Fogg's invention that he's asked the professor to mass produce the flying machines, and is inviting us to go on a journey with him to some of the places he encountered in his 80 day world-wide trip collecting the relics.
There will be four main "flying machine" vehicles which will seat roughly 20 people a piece, and two main theaters. The design of the flying machines will be something like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang by way of Hayao Miyazaki.
In the theater there will also be AAs of Hightower and Fogg in their own personal flying machine. Hightower is the more excitable out of the two, while Fogg is the more nervous, not knowing how well the mass produced flying machines were riding in will hold up. After a brief introduction and some banter by Hightower and Fogg, the simulator film begins.
We escape out of EPCOT and crash through Space Ship Earth before hitting a high breeze which makes us travel far up into the clouds. Gliding along, we eventually float back down and hit the Egyptian Pyramids where Hightower proudly proclaims a variety of his relic collection came from.
Winding around one of the larger pyramids, we duck down under the head of the Sphinx nearly breaking off its stone goatee. Fogg yelps as a large desert sandstorm heads our way. We get caught up in a cloud of dust as Hightower yells out in excitement.
Fogg is forced to control the flying machine, saying he can only hope our machines follow along as we make our way through the thick clouds of the sandstorm. Emmerging out of the dust, we are once again high above the clouds. Fogg breaths a sigh of relief only to scream out in terror as we get lower to the clouds and see the peak of a mountain poking up from them. Plummeting back down, we see we are face to face with Mount Everest. As an Easter egg, the ruins of Herka Zhong can be spotted about midway up the mountain.
Winding our way through the Himalayas, we eventually reach the Great Wall of China. Much to Fogg's dismay, we see that rival relic hunters are chasing us using mass produced flying machines that Hightower had ordered. "I told you this technology could get into the wrong hands!" Fogg yells at Hightower.
We get chased along the Great Wall until Fogg picks up a signal of an approaching hurricane, the perfect device to send us back to Florida. We head back up into the clouds and are caught up in a massive storm, where simulator effects go nuts along with 4D water sprays and simulated giant gusts of wind produced by in theater fans. Finally emerging from the storm, we arrive back in Future World, go around Spaceship Earth (where we see the hole we made is already in progress of being filled in) and back into the S.E.A exhibition hall.
The Magic of Science! Theater Show
This will be a C-Ticket theater show in place of The Making of Me in which Dreamfinder gets properly inducted into S.E.A. The show will feature a Carousel of Progress like message of the evolution of technology, as DreamFinder shows us. A large emphasis will be placed on the "magic" of computers and the internet age, and how the latest technology has allowed the imaginations of artists and dreamers all over the world to expand beyond what was ever thought possible beforehand.
The show is hosted by Lord Henry Mystic and Albert the Monkey from Mystic Manor, with Dreamfinder as a supporting character and a very small cameo from Figment who appears as one of the computer creations Dreamfinder talks about artists being able to dream up with the latest technology.

Nemo's (Dining Experience)
This will be an upscale dining experience onboard the Nautilus. A window looking out into an underwater cave is the main visual draw, with the iconic giant squid swimming by as an AA every 20 minutes or so. Occasionally an actor dressed as Nemo will come on and play from a reproduction of the famous organ.
The menu is comprised of exotic sea food from a variety of different foreign locales and cultures. This restaraunt officially ties Nemo into S.E.A., after much speculation due to his large presence within Tokyo DisneySea.
