At least you tried it. That’s ok. Yeah try what is good for you. Yeah sounds like he is a beef person.🤣
I really liked the flavor....it was really good! But I'm a texture person....it's kind of weird, but I've always been like that. I used to hate fried zucchini because it's so slimy. Now it's one of my favorite veggies, but I don't use as much butter as my mom did and I try not to cook it to oblivion like she did. E said she didn't mind the texture....she loved it and went back for seconds. So I'd call it a success, even though hubs wouldn't eat it.

So this snow storm....the weather had us getting nothing last week to getting 5 to 8 than 4 to 8. They lie....we got like 5 to 6 so far and snow is over at 2100.

Only profession that we can talk about ;) that lies and gets away with it. Maybe it makes up for last week when they said a foot and we only got a couple inches.

We got 6 inches yesterday.

And, we're supposed to get another snowstorm tomorrow, too!!! :joyfull:

Back from visiting Mom and Pop a bit ago. Both doin’ well, they’ve had both Covid doses since last Saturday, and we had a great visit...!!!!!
Emmy, Megan, and Daniel are visiting with them outside on the front deck right now...a modicum of normalcy, at least..!!!

So happy to see them comfortable, back in their own home. :inlove: Glad that they also got their vaccine shots, as I'm sure that must bring some welcome relief to you all.

Found an old pic of Belle when she was a puppy...the ears still kill me...!!!!!

Oh, Belle's ears were precious!!!! :joyfull:

Somethin’ or someone I’ve never heard of before called “the weekend”...more like “the nightmare”... :cyclops:

The dancers looked like they were wearing men's underwear (briefs) on their heads. Kind of weird.

Although I don't watch football, once a year I do tune in to the popular half-time show, only.

Last night, I saw the Weeknd (no "e" in end, by the way). It was a flashy production; but IMO, it may have been directed to a more niche audience, that is more familiar with the artist's work.

(There was one song I really liked, however, and I don't know the name of it -- but he had people in the background on violins during it.)

I think his group production numbers with everyone in head bandages might not have translated well with the family audience, and probably just left many perplexed. (From what I've read from Variety, he had used prosthetics and makeup to emphasize a dark story in his 2019 "After Hours" album, and had worn the bandages for a while. I don't believe he had any actual plastic surgery.) His idea was done to slam the culture of some celebrities who fed into changing their looks, etc. to feel validated.) Whatever.

Again, if the general audience didn't know the background message of the group's head bandages, during the production numbers, it would just confuse them. 🤷‍♀️

Who or what was the half time act(s)?

The Weekend has been around since 2012ish. Although I heard of him for the first time on the radio like a year or so ago.. Not a fan. I don't follow with all the new people nowadays. I'll listen to the radio on my car ride home and it's modern pop but it's the only Boston station I know 🤣 🤣 The Rhode Island stations signals don't go that far.

Well, I guess technically, yes, it's chicken and biscuits then, but I like that texture better. I didn't like the soft dumpling texture. I'd use the same recipe, but bake it instead of boiling the dumplings.
Well, in spite of it being pretty much the same ingredients, chicken and biscuits are not chicken and dumplings. But, there is nothing wrong with chicken and biscuits, it's just that I prefer C & D's much more.

What we like depends on what we grew up with a lot of the time. My Mother made chicken and Dumplings but never cooked them long enough so the center was basically raw dough. I grew up liking that and now I find properly cooked dumplings to be dry. I still like them but cannot bring myself to just cook them for less time. I still like them dry as well where the gravy gets to soak in more.

I have a friend here that used to make extra C & D'd and bring me some "left overs". She made the typical southern style with Dumplings that closely resemble pasta (flat squares). They are OK, I have them at Cracker Barrel often. When thanking her I once mentioned that I grew up with the fluffy type. That went over like a pay toilet in a diarrhea ward. She hasn't made any for me since then even though I like what she made too. It must have sounded like I was saying that hers were awful. Chefs are a sensitive group, I say!
