Ironically, "the Platinum Girl" was the youngest one of the four. I read that someplace but I don't remember exactly where.

CORRECTION: Rue was the youngest, but she was still younger than Bea and Betty. It is amazing how she could play the mother of someone that was a year older then she was.

Actually, Rue McClanahan was the youngest at 51 when the show first aired. Both Bea Arthur and Betty White were 63, and Estelle Getty was 62.

I must have misread the article. I knew that she played Bea Arthur's Mother and was younger the her daughter. Neat trick! Anyway except for Betty White they are all gone now. Betty is 98 now and hasn't been seen recently by many. I hope she is still hanging in there. What a prize she is.

It isn't any surprise that Corona has massively increased their presents in TV advertising. I'm sure that they are shaking their heads in amazement that of all the names they could have given the virus, they decided on Corona. I'm sure that there are some out there that think the two are connected. We aren't the brightest population in the universe.

Yep, I remember readin’ way back when that all but Rue were pretty much the same age.
Betty White is indeed a prize...hope she’s doin’ well...!!!
Also, I read that Rue and Betty were originally supposed to play each other’s parts, but, they switched at the 11th hour due to Betty havin’ played Sue Ann Nivens on The MTM show, and she/they didn’t want her to be type cast as that kinda’ character...!!!!!
