I bought a great bottle of wine on Wednesday. Robert Mondavi Private collection Merlot. Aged in rum barrels. Gives it a little more vanilla taste.

The greatest non meat buffet chain in the country in my opinion, Sweet Tomatoes was a victim of covid and decided to close all of their locations permanently. I miss that place.

Ours closed years ago. And it is probably just as well. I have no idea how any buffet is going to be able to reasonably adapt the entire business model, without a huge investment. The changes we see in a regular business are already a high unexpected expenditure. It will be interesting to see how the problem is handled.

I don't like Country Bears either, but more because I hate country music. Doesn't mean we should automatically bulldoze every attraction over 30 years old. Besides, Country Bears is still better than Hall of Presidents.

DS needed wine for the dinner he was cooking, and my mom always said, "If you won't drink it on its own, it doesn't belong in your food!". I was curious what the rum barrel aging would do. All good! Very smooth. Nice bouquet. Made a great meal, both in and out of the food.
