Wasn't there someone at some point who was ticked off because her kid wanted a churro or something and someone who didn't even have kids had the audacity to be at the parks and ordered the last one, so there wasn't one for her kid! She went off on a rant about how Disney is for families and what are you even doing there if you don't have children? That may have been somewhere else that I saw that though.
No idea, we've had people complain that they waited in line, and complained millenials with no kids and old people should stop going to the parks because it makes Karen wait longer with their precious princess.

E looked it up and it was on Facebook. I'll put it in spoiler tags because there is some bad language some may choose not to read.

We stayed at the French Quarter last year again for a short trip. Our room was right across from the Main Building. I woke to the smell of Beignets each morning. Want to guess what I was eating with a side of bacon? :hungry:

At dinner tonight we were making some happiness out of bit of sadness over Splash. We turned the French Fry Stand across from Pecos into a Beignet stand in our wishful thinking. Honestly I think they'd make $$$ hand over fist with that change.
In the late 1990s Port French Quarter had an all you can eat breakfast with grilled steak and beignets piping hot and drowning in sugar!

No, we know it's not a safe word, but many, including myself, don't care. I am the one that is most likely to push up daisy's if I get it, but since the only thing left in my life is my family, my children and grandchildren, so frankly I don't give a damn. If I were young and bringing it to older folks that would be a concern. However, without my family, without the contact with them, I really don't see any reason to go on and, like I am about to be told, if I wait it out it will be clear and safe to see them, but tomorrow is never promised. When we are younger we do not really consider our own mortality at all. When you get in my age bracket you no longer assume that tomorrow will be yours automatically. You live while you can and do not make any long term plans. I'm not at the age where I have to pay in advance to order a three minute egg for breakfast, but those days are closing in at warp speed and I cannot waste time being scared. I take precautions, but I do not and will not spend the time I have left to connect with them frozen in fear.

Sorrow. I did think of you as I posted my summer candy.
I like tomatoes in things. Salsa, pasta sauce, even if I make eggs or a quesadilla, I'll throw some tomatoes in. Or if it comes on a sandwich, I won't pick it off. But just to straight up eat or put on a salad....nope. My dad likes tomato stacks with motzarella...I'll take the cheese and leave the tomato. :hungover:

The greatest non meat buffet chain in the country in my opinion, Sweet Tomatoes was a victim of covid and decided to close all of their locations permanently. I miss that place.

to be honest, every time someone wants to go on the Country Bears, I make a face and walk away.

Update...the thread is 145 pages
I don't like Country Bears either, but more because I hate country music. Doesn't mean we should automatically bulldoze every attraction over 30 years old. Besides, Country Bears is still better than Hall of Presidents.
