Good morning! I took my daughter to McDonalds. She'll be a cashier today from 8am to 3:30pm. Then I went to Shop Rite to get 5 items. I overheard one supermarket employee say that when she arrived at 5:30am to prepare the store for its 6am opening, there were approx. 50 people in line on the sidewalk. I'll be going to 11am church in a couple of hours.
Question for your daughter: Is McDonalds doing anything there against Corona? We ordered chinese food last night, which my son won't eat, so my husband took him to McDonalds and they had to stand outside and wait in a line because they were at their Corona capacity. He said it was ridiculous because they roped off several sections of seating, which meant everyone had to sit in the few open seating areas, all crammed together. And they weren't wiping down tables in between customers, nor were they wiping down the touch screens on the order kiosks. I just wondered if that was a new corporate rule about limiting the number of people inside at once, or if that was just our local McDonalds. Regardless, if you make everyone sit in close proximity, or stand in tight lines waiting to get in, and you don't sanitize between users, limiting the number of people isn't going to do much.

With all the bread flying off the shelves and people worried about being quarantined in their houses what's the flour status in the stores. Do people not know how to make bread any more, will certainly have plenty of time stuck in your house. The wife makes bread-- nothing better than a fresh loaf of bread out of the oven warm and a stick of butter.
I'm sorry I didn't look because I never buy regular flour. I order my gf by the case and pick it up at BJ's, I usually get my specialty ones at Wegman's but didn't go there this weekend but they were fine last weekend

I believe it. During stressful times, people look for comfort, eating fast food ( a whole lot).

I think she was referring to what sanitizing methods were they using. Touchscreens and tables not being wiped down during a time when people are being told by the government that you shouldn’t shake anyones hand. Using a touch screen after someone else could be pretty unsanitary.

She is not here to answer, but to my knowledge her manager has stressed that touch areas will be wiped frequently. Food handlers have always worn gloves so that was already fine. No limit on the customer population in the dining room to my knowledge. Yet whenever I pick her up the drive thru is always busy and the inside seating area...well not very much.

Well, we are back home from WDW. The dog was happy to see me at first but is now punishing me by sitting on the couch away from me. 🤣 I stopped at Walmart to grab some groceries quick and even though I didn't need toilet paper or anything like that I took a look to see what was available and the only paper goods I saw was a couple paper towels. The shelves were so empty of canned goods, pasta, and lunch meat too. I was bummed about the lunch meat because that was on my shopping list.
