Poor baby I feel so bad for her, she always works so hard on all her work. Now onto the school WT* I can't believe you're not even getting any answers. Is it because it was upgraded to a pandemic? You should get your money back from the school!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sending pixie dust and frying pan

Spring Break is Prime Time for Middle Schools to take their students to WDC. They are all cancelling.

If any of ya have been to McCormick Place and its massive convention center and Hyatt hotel attached, last night they had 27 rooms filled, they laid off most of their staff today. The Show buildings personal even if full time, they don't work, they don't get paid. And if those attending the conventions and shows don't come to town, they don't go the all the restaurants and lounges. There are school districts closing the week before spring break hoping to join the two weeks and help break the cycle 'togetherness isn't good.'

I can't find a good photo to show just how vast this center is and the hotel in the background. The amount of people that work there 24/7 365 days a year.

Chicago Auto show is held here annually and one of the last shows that didn't get cancelled. I go every year. My Dad was one of the contractors that built this place twice once close to when he just married my Mom and once when I was a preschooler cause the first one burnt down-lots of building codes changed between version #1 and #2 When I am in the ground level tunnel walkways and roadways beneath the buildings I can see the physical work my Dads company did and remains, much like I can see the 2 quarters my Dad put into the Sears towers concrete on the observation deck with the years my Sis and I were born. Some things of Dad live on.

I saw them building that, it looks so cool!

It was fun watching the progress of the gondolas. Being at WDW very frequently as annual passholders we were able to see the progress of planting poles, stringing wire, testing the first couple gondolas, stringing them all up and testing, testing and more testing while they tried to finish the hub and get Epcot to work correctly. It was strange to see the Gondolas testing one day and the next all taken down and stored awaiting Hurricane Dorian. Our first trip with them there were Soooo many hiccups. Some long hiccups, many closures especially at the hub and Epcot. Little by little they are becoming more reliable. I've really enjoyed them. Now I await summer heat to see how they really do with the slat vent windows especially when guests in airborne gondolas are halted for a while. We always always use the restroom before boarding 'just in case.'

I was a bit iffy about the idea, but the more it sat in my mind (not seeing it), it seemed really cool. Pop is my favorite place to stay, and the kiddo and I enjoyed our last trip there.

How have you liked it?
