I did wonder about that. I figured she ate the hummus. Guessing there was other stuff she ate that wasn’t in the pictures.

Yep, we actually all love hummus, but, that was one of the few vegan things on the table at that point. Kinda’ like @figmentfan423 , she was raised on all that non-vegan stuff, but, still takes pride in making it for all us omnivores...!!!!! :hungry:

All the updates:

Both stores continue to break records (no pun.) It's really exciting.

We are going to host a swap next week for unwanted gifts. It's called the "It's The Thought That Counts" post-holiday record/gift swap. It lets people get some new music without spending money, and very often the leftovers get traded in to the store, so we get an influx of product. Plus sales tick up just from the extra traffic, and next weekend tends to be a slower one. This should help that.

My Aunt in NJ texted me out of the blue about Grandma, said she talks about me (which is nice to know.) Hospice is coming twice a week now "to make her comfortable," and she pretty much isn't eating anymore. They give her baby food and Ensure with a syringe. I'm realizing I'm starting to get upset now, no matter how prepared I am. But I get it, it's just time.

Brian's Dad and stepmom both have the flu. She says she's sure they'll be better by Christmas, and btw can Brian cook (everything) and bring it over. It's turning out to be a late lunch (which we Jersey Italians just call holiday dinner. But I'm the only Jersey Italian on that side of the family, so they call it late lunch LOL.)

First of all, it's barely 2 days away - even if they're miraculously better, why would we want to go to a sick house? Neither of us can afford to be laid up. We've both had the shot, but you know that's not 100% effective.

I bought a turkey on the way home. I'm thinking we have better odds if we have them over here. Wondering what kind of a chance is there that I can get a cleaning service over on Tuesday? Haven't used one in 10 years, but there's no way either of us will have the time to do a good, thorough cleaning by Wednesday. We're both working two long days, plus he has to cook lol.

Decent storms all night, 100% chance of rain all night, but it's still 73 degrees. (I'll take it.) Tornado warning, that's unlikely to happen here, though. Should clear up by morning.

All my restock orders are done and submitted. Time for bed.

Time, time, time. Everything comes down to time.

VERY cool about your stores...!!!!!

The record swap sounds like a ton of fun, and I still have a turntable from 1980...!!!!! :hilarious:

Very sorry about your grandma. I loved all my grandparents, but, my 2 grandmothers were the most funny and vibrant people ever well into their 90’s...they were just so cool and loved life so much.
Many heartfelt prayers for her, you, and all of your family.

Sorry about Brian’s sick folks, and hope they get well soon, but, yep, keep the sick folks out of your house...nothin’ good can come of that, and everyone should know that by now. 24 hours MINIMUM after a fever is gone. How do some people not know this stuff by now...

Sorry about the storms, but, cool on the temps...!!! :)

Finally, awesome on the restock orders, and I hope ya’ got some good rest...!!!!!

I never gave an update on the Christmas themed cable car. The problem was the battery section of the Christmas themed cable car and it was not the batteries themselves. The bottom part of the Christmas themed cable car is where the batteries go. The bottom of the cable car got replaced with the old bottom part returned.

My Disney Christmas Village is now fully operational as a result of the cable car working.

Worked half day this morning (at home)(really just sat and played on my phone because I had very little work) and the house is cleaned up, rearranged and ready for all of hubby's family to come for Xmas eve tomorrow. I normally don't like to host, but I don't want to squeeze into his mom's condo with 11 of us... that's hot and miserable for everyone! (not to mention not enough seating)

Tomorrow, I get to attempt to make my first Pecan Pie... my brother loves my aunts, and she gave me the recipe around Thanksgiving. My brother asked me to make it and then added, "don't mess it up!" Smart ----!

Oh, by the way, the cheese gift that we received was from Jasper Farms, in Greensboro, Vermont. They have quite the operation there with the cheese cellars. Their cheese is really first rate -- highly recommend it.
I know how cheese gifts are and how great they can be.

I remember back when I was growing up, My mom's late uncle used to send us a Cheese and sausage gift along with a package of chocolates as him and his wife's Christmas gift to us. It was sent by mail. Most of his kids and grandkids did not live in Wisconsin and explains why he sent the gifts by mail.

Yup, the last of the cookies are baked both allergen free and more traditional. Everything is GF but not everything is vegan. the kitchen is set up for tomorrow's 7 fish feast
