Basically, all of your suggestions are happening. LOL.

I told Brian I don't want to go to a sick house, Christmas or not. I then told his stepmom (texted) it's at our house, and what time would she like to eat? (Sometimes, you just have to be direct.) (OK, when am I not direct?)

She said they are both still in bed, day 4, and may not be able to make it.

I replied that we can also just do it another day during the week, just throwing another option out there.

In the meanwhile, I got an employee (and friend of 20 years) to come over and clean tomorrow. That means I have to straighten (a lot) today. It's a win-win. She'll make a lot more than her hourly rate, and I don't have to call around everyplace to see if they will come last minute. Or clean.

And whether they come or not, we'll have a nice, clean house for Christmas, and be ahead of the game for the houseguests a few days later.

Still no luck with the car wash/groupon thing not working. In the meantime, I got him a new Otterbox for his phone, the old one is shot.

Kylie's chewy meds showed up, she wasn't crazy about taking it, but she ate it.

And the stepmom just texted me back and said let's do it another day. Woo hoo!

Now, if I could only find a room in the Keys for Christmas night that takes dogs, we can escape completely!

So, I have a scatter rug in the bathroom. Jack likes to lay down on it, because it's near a window where the sunlight beams in on his face, and then he dozes off to sleep. Anyway, I finally threw the rug in the washing machine the other day, and put it back on the floor after it dried.

Jack won't go near it now. He sniffs it and walks away. :p

He's in the bathroom now, asleep on the floor, next to the rug! :D :hilarious:

I think he is telling you that you need to get a different detergent.
