I waited too long.

Dicks didn’t have the sizes I needed at the store, had to order online. The new shoes and clothes arrived- somehow in men’s sizes. Will not make it in time for Christmas.

Millenium Falcon is out of stock everywhere. LEGO Store says it’s been this way for a while... I even checked Amazon. Out of stock.

Merry Christmas.

All the updates:

Both stores continue to break records (no pun.) It's really exciting.

We are going to host a swap next week for unwanted gifts. It's called the "It's The Thought That Counts" post-holiday record/gift swap. It lets people get some new music without spending money, and very often the leftovers get traded in to the store, so we get an influx of product. Plus sales tick up just from the extra traffic, and next weekend tends to be a slower one. This should help that.

My Aunt in NJ texted me out of the blue about Grandma, said she talks about me (which is nice to know.) Hospice is coming twice a week now "to make her comfortable," and she pretty much isn't eating anymore. They give her baby food and Ensure with a syringe. I'm realizing I'm starting to get upset now, no matter how prepared I am. But I get it, it's just time.

Brian's Dad and stepmom both have the flu. She says she's sure they'll be better by Christmas, and btw can Brian cook (everything) and bring it over. It's turning out to be a late lunch (which we Jersey Italians just call holiday dinner. But I'm the only Jersey Italian on that side of the family, so they call it late lunch LOL.)

First of all, it's barely 2 days away - even if they're miraculously better, why would we want to go to a sick house? Neither of us can afford to be laid up. We've both had the shot, but you know that's not 100% effective.

I bought a turkey on the way home. I'm thinking we have better odds if we have them over here. Wondering what kind of a chance is there that I can get a cleaning service over on Tuesday? Haven't used one in 10 years, but there's no way either of us will have the time to do a good, thorough cleaning by Wednesday. We're both working two long days, plus he has to cook lol.

Decent storms all night, 100% chance of rain all night, but it's still 73 degrees. (I'll take it.) Tornado warning, that's unlikely to happen here, though. Should clear up by morning.

All my restock orders are done and submitted. Time for bed.

Time, time, time. Everything comes down to time.

First of all, a big congratulations about the success of both of your stores!!! And I love the idea of a "it's the thought that counts" post-holiday swap!! How funny is that?! :p I'll bet people will enjoy the theme, and welcome an opportunity to trade off some music they received.

On a more somber note, sad to hear about your grandma's condition. Hoping they can keep her comfortable. Will pray for her at Christmas mass.

What a dilemma about Brian's dad and stepmom, getting over the flu. I "think" a person has to go at least 7 days with it, before they are no longer contagious. Do they live quite a distance away from you? I'm asking because (only if Brian was willing) a meal could be cooked by him early -- but then driven over to their house, and dropped off to them. (They could heat it up at their leisure.) Seriously, if there is any chance that you two could get the flu from them, neither one of you could afford that. Holidays are very important, but not a hill to die on (so to speak, that is ;) )

They said we we supposed to get this yesterday but it started last night temp is up to 50 ---thank god this is not snow or we would be in big trouble. Wife has some last minute grocery shopping today, told her to go yesterday. Should I tell her I told you so?---heck no to close to Christmas

Agreed, never enough time. Sorry to hear about your grandmother, it is alway tough to lose loved ones no matter how prepared or unprepared we are.

Good news about your stores. It might be a good idea to host Brian’s parents. If they come over though do a light clean first then after they leave have a bigger cleaning done to get rid of the germs. 🙂. Or you could do what I did the last time I had guests and didn’t have a lot of time to clean up the junk lying around, I through a whole bunch of stuff in my empty suitcase!

I would reschedule Christmas with B’s family. Wait for everyone to be 100%.
So happy about the stores doing well!

Same here. But at least I can still walk out on my balcony and see the ocean.
