If you drive on the main North/south highways like I-95 you will not get a real idea about how much things cost off the beaten path. Greed takes hold on the main highways.

That's always been the case, though, with highway gas stations. When I was a kid, I remember my father telling us that we would need to get gas locally before going on the highway. (My siblings and I didn't like hearing that, because the few times we had stopped on a highway for gas, there was usually a little store with it -- that would sell candy, and local tourist trinkets that we'd love! My parents didn't give in to our whims very often, though. ;) )

One year my wife was making hot sauce and she had been cutting up habenaro, ghost peppers, Thia hot peppers etc my then youngest son was about 2 or 3 years old and didn't have a shirt on the wife picked him up and within a minute he was screaming blood murder. She couldn't figure out what was wrong with him at first. After about 5 minutes there was my wife's perfect hand prints right where she had pick him. Never realized the hot pepper residue was on her hands. needless to say she felt horrible -- never made that mistake again.
But how did it not burn her hands?

P.S.: I've never had a cheese curd (must be a regional thing) -- but, those bags of them look rather tasty! :hungry:
Cheese Curds are regional in the Midwest and in Canada also. They can be found in Grocery stores in Wisconsin. My dad has bought cheese cords for Woodman's, before. Woodman's is a grocery store chain is Wisconsin and Illinois.

I first had cheese curds in the 1980s in Wisconsin. Wisconsin has plenty of cheese factories.

As far as Wisconsin goes, it not a bit of surprise about Cheese curds since Wisconsin in know for its dairy and cheese. I have no idea how far back the cheese cords were made in Wisconsin or if my great grandfather made them in his small cheese factory before he sold it.

@Songbird76 Wanted to post this here and not take up space in your tr. Seems more like a chit chat kind of thing.
I am pretty sure there were no raisins in it when I tried it a few years back. I love carrot cake and cream cheese frosting, but I just thought it was terrible. I just wonder if people read about an item from a blogger and then get it in their head that it is the best thing ever and then believe it. Like even if it doesn’t taste as good as expected they will still say it was great so as to go along with the blogger.
