@Rista1313 , @BuddyThomas I got an email from Equifax saying that in order to claim a cash payment, they required the name of the credit monitoring service I had at the time of the breach. I did have Lifelock so amended the claim. I wonder if they are trying to get out of paying some claims with cash as opposed to credit monitoring that they offered instead. Really crummy thing to do.
I was curious about that as well. I got the same e-mail. I think they are trying to angle away and are looking to only pay out to people that have a paid membership to one of the affected credit monitoring services. My connection is through two of my credit cards as a perk, not direct membership. I haven't had time to research the situation yet, but it is sounding a bit suspicious.
