This is so true, only in my case people have been coming out of the woodwork to help and support me. I don't deserve any of my friends or neighbors. Just this week one of my neighbors put my trash cans by my door because they knew a snow storm was coming that I didn't know about, and another of my neighbors snow blowed my driveway, walkway, and sidewalk after the storm.

So I guess I mean to say, the people who care really care. I was never expecting all the help I've received.
That's so nice that you have people to help you out. We don't have driveways, but I always shovel my neighbor's walkway when it snows because she's got an elderly mother who walks over all the time, and I'm so afraid she's going to fall and it's just a small walkway anyway.

Mine too! Do you remember the hot cashews at Sears? We always went on Saturday to Sears. They had this section where they had candy and nuts to buy. The nuts were in this turning thingy that kept them warm. The cashews were awesome!!!

Sounds delish but there wasn't a Sears near me, when I was growing up. There was a little corner store in the neighborhood though, and my pals and I would bring our change and buy cheap candy, and wolf it down.

Wish we had a love button. First of all, you do deserve wonderful friends and neighbors. So happy to hear that people care enough about you and A, to offer these various gestures of kindness.

Many years ago when my father passed away, my mother was living alone in the house after that. She noticed one week that someone had brought in her barrels, into the garage, where they were stored. The next week, before she could go to take them out to the curb, she noticed they were already out curb-side, on trash morning. She watched later in the day to see who was doing this. Turns out it was a retired city cop, who lived across the street. This guy was never social and spoke to no one.

Yet, somehow, he knew that my father passed away, as my father took out the trash for many years and would wave to the guy. So without saying a word, the neighbor discretely took over that chore to help my mother. She, of course, thanked him and said she could do it, but he insisted. Amazing, how sometimes people you'd never expect to care, magically appear.

Is anyone getting the automatic notifications? I have to click on the bell to see notifications now. Before there would be a number on it so I knew there were notifications.

I haven't tried that (still have that line on the bottom of my screen about push notifications), because I don't understand it. I even looked up in the forum help section and read it, but I still don't understand it or how it works. Not sure if it is something that would keep popping up and be interfering?

It might be just a small walkway but I'm sure you shoveling it is a Big thing for her! :)

I never understood the obsession.
I seriously was in awe when cnn mentioned the billion of chicken wings consumed..

(edited, no idea why the hell Firefox ate the word "undertood" before posting... )

And, I’ve never understood the chicken wings thing...generally, the least desirable part of the bird, to most. But, take ‘em and slather ‘em in hot sauce, and so many (I’m not one of ‘em) can’t seem to get enough of ‘em...brilliant, actually...!!! ;) :)
