That is basically me as well. I go to my daughters every Superbowl mostly to watch my SIL melt down and scream at the TV screen. However, since I am from New England, I see no reason to cheer on anyone else. He is a traitor to his homeland and will cheer on anyone that isn't the Patriots. Actually my back was hurting by mid-3rd qtr., so I left. Even the commercials were boring this year. I've seen better high school games.

The very best buttercream frosting I ever had was on a trip to New York City with my parents, back when I was a kid. Yup, it was that memorable! :joyfull: (Come to think of it, probably my most memorable moments in life all included food. ;) )
Mine too! Do you remember the hot cashews at Sears? We always went on Saturday to Sears. They had this section where they had candy and nuts to buy. The nuts were in this turning thingy that kept them warm. The cashews were awesome!!!

Well, I got a call at 5:30 am this morning, it was the automated call from work. We had a two hour delay...freezing drizzle and ice. I got up a little while later and figured I might as well get dressed for work and just relax for the extra time this morning with my dog and my cross-stitch. While I was getting ready hubs checked Facebook and and our county had closed the main roads north of our town apparently multiple cars had slid off into the ditch in the same spot. I thought, "that's not good." About 10 minutes later the call came that school was now closed. Two Mondays in a row. Good that I get to stay home but bad because I'm pretty sure this is a make up day.

I was also supposed to be on the team to interview for our new superintendent tonight. I'm assuming it is cancelled but we'll see.

This is so true, only in my case people have been coming out of the woodwork to help and support me. I don't deserve any of my friends or neighbors. Just this week one of my neighbors put my trash cans by my door because they knew a snow storm was coming that I didn't know about, and another of my neighbors snow blowed my driveway, walkway, and sidewalk after the storm.

So I guess I mean to say, the people who care really care. I was never expecting all the help I've received.

This weekend I finished purging my house. Officially done! Now I just have renovations and decorations. Lots of painting to get done. But there is nothing in the house that is not useful or loved!! Even the garage is done!!

I love both of these posts. So wonderful that you are getting the support and help you need and that you don't even have to ask. I'm sure you do or will do the same for them

Also love that you have purged your house! It's all yours and A's now, and done in the way you want. Well done!

Thank you! It was a LOT of work, but I'm really happy with the results!! I should have the house almost completely perfect by Spring!!

The like was for a day off. I couldn't give you a sad face for the make up day:( Stay safe and inside! sending ammo and rum seeing I'm not going to need any for this week. runs and hides under large rock.

Yah. So, to change the subject to something else, it's February and that means Valentine's Day and the Presidents' Day holiday are coming up!

I have to book a WDW lunch ADR for Valentine’s Day!

Was there a game? Yesterday was for Basin and Disney related stuff:joyfull:

I waited for the game to start and then went food shopping in a beautifully empty supermarket.

Do you want to come and help organize my house? I've been putting off organizing the basement for a couple years now and I might (might) actually tackle it this summer.:)

I really enjoy doing this, so I totally would!!

I would say that one of the things that helped me was the stroke. It made me think about what people would have to clean out of my house if the next one is fatal. I purged a lot of things I've been holding onto forever, like childhood toys. If I'm not going to display or use them and they're just going to sit in a box in the garage, they clearly aren't valuable to me. And they certainly won't be valuable to whoever cleans out my house when I die. This mentality helped me clear out a bunch of stuff that I saved because I felt like you're just supposed to save those things.
