I didn't get mad because he spent Christmas money and got headphones he's been looking at for months at 60% off. "Milk" was the only thing on the list:facepalm:
Did you send him by himself? My husband HATES shopping. His shoes had holes in them. He went into two stores, looked for 30 seconds (I'm not exaggerating. He literally just walked through the aisle with his size and walked out) and didn't find the exact same ones he had, so that was it. He came home, found them online and ordered 2 pairs. And he was grouchy when I needed to get DD some undergarments....he wanted to go to the movies and play Ingress, which he DID, but I wouldn't "let" him go until after we had the necessary things done...then I ripped my pants getting into the car, so I had to go buy a new pair, which meant another 15 minutes before he could go. He drove me NUTS on NYE because he was ticked at me about the day before. He'd already been out several days to go to the movies or to play Ingress, and then he's acting like a moody teenager because he didn't get to leave again until 14:30 instead of noon, though he knew he wasn't going to be home until almost 2 in the morning. I've stayed home with the kids every time he's wanted to go out and play, but I ask him to wait ONE time, and goes into toddler mode. You could send him to the store for milk no problem...he'd be doing his best to get it by osmosis so he didn't have to go in.

Your dad is one spry looking 86 year old, and I love Emy’s cheeks. She is so cute!! 4 generations in one house. How cool is that! I had one great grandfather live to the age of 93. He died when is was 14. I am so lucky that I got to have a great relationship with him.

I hate to be mean but I think you should do your first UNI day the way we did. Diagon Alley first before you do anything else. Rope drop and spend the morning there. It'll take at least that long to explore the nooks and crannies. Here's the maybe mean part eat lunch at LC or Lombardi's depending on the menus and the take the HE to Hogwarts for until you've seen all of it. DA is the more amazing of the 2 lands but we wanted to see it in the order Harry saw things if that makes sense. We skipped Escape until after Hogwarts seeing you have to ride the train both ways
We can't do that, because our first day will be check in day. So we can't rope drop it. But we've got 4 days and not much that we HAVE to see beyond WWoHP. And we'll have the Unlimited Express pass because it comes with our resort stay...We'll be fine. And it's not mean to give advice.

Mine is pretty good about shopping. We did some mall walking then hit the stores for a few things needed for the house, mostly food:banghead: He's also better at picking out men's grooming items. I buy the cheapest if they're not with me:D

I'd still do DA first. 4 days and UE you should be able to ride every ride and see every show with no problem. Make sure to get a DAS pass for the few things that don't have EP

Too much togetherness, my dad's inability to relax when he's at home...

Hee hee . . . reminds me a little of my father. He rarely let loose, or just hung out to be crazy like the rest of us. He had his own room with his desk, papers, books, newspapers, etc., and needed quiet time every day. So as kids, we had to tone it down for a few hours each day, because he wanted to read and study things.

When I was about 5, I asked my mother why he wanted to waste his time studying, because he had graduated from school many years before that! :p ;)
