She is particular about the style too. I showed her a cute dress that had a unicorn coming out of a pocket. She didn’t like it because the cut was straight. She likes dresses that really twirl like a Marilyn Monroe dress.

Use this site https://www.easycalculation.com/other/circle-skirt-calculator.php , use knit fabric and put a yoga waistband on it. Easy one hour project. If the knit fabric doesn't have spandex in it make a casing for elastic

I miss the days of wearing a uniform so much, it's exhausting trying to figure out what to wear to work everyday, what the temperature is going to be, what kind of meetings I have... and with whom.... I miss the airlines... where my biggest decisions were pants or skirt? Short sleeve shirt or long sleeve shirt. And which tie... flower/bow or man style tie. Oh and one airline I did have the choice of a dress too. It was so easy to figure out what to wear back then!

I vaguely remember that airline. My mom was a travel agent with her own business and I used to help her book tickets and then print them. Don't need to do that anymore. In any case those uniforms are not bad at all.

Surprised it hasn't been towed out of there by a metal scrap yard. There are businesses that make a lot of money off metal scrap. (I can't imagine that car would ever be in shape to be driven again, so I can only imagine any worth to it at this point, would be metal salvage.)

Because it's a car they'd still have to show ownership to scrap it or at least that's my guess

Oh absolutely. (I was referring to more of a late night drag and dash ... has happened in our area with all kinds of metal--including stealing some valuable old fences.)

My dog also waits for me each day--sits midway up the steps where he has a clear view out the window. But the interesting thing is that I don't approach home from that angle--I come up the street in the opposite direction. Hubs says that once I get near home, the dog gets all excited and sure enough, I come in right at that time.

@donaldtoo please forgive me for not commenting about how cute (R)emy and her parents were for Halloween. I waited to show James and then got busy anyhoo he would like to know if they'd mind if we borrowed their idea for next year if we dress up?

Sympathy like. One of ours has shut down but the last day is the day before Thanksgiving for the other one in fact They're open Monday and Wednesday that week

Wow. You're lucky. I haven't a clue why the one around here seemed to have low energy, even during the height of the season. I'm not really a veggie person, but I always like strolling around farmers' markets, as it's a fun fall activity. There was one vendor I did like though--a local honey place that had excellent honey from their hives.

With the cruddy weather this year some items were not as good as in years past here Same happy vibe but less selection

It's open year round but is wayyyyy to much of a hike to get to. Did you get to Chinatown which is a short walk from there?
