Just passing through. It's insanely busy at work. We set numerous records in the last week. One day we had 600,000 euros in sales, yesterday they worked until midnight and we got almost 7000 orders done and there were still over 2000 in the system, so we started with close to 3000 this morning. For comparison, usually when I arrive at work on a Tuesday morning, the number of orders already in the system is around 200. We are supposed to get everything done that's ordered before 10:30 pm, and we work until 11 or until it's done. But our previous record was 5000 something and yesterday we did 6700, so there was just no way it was all going to get done. I've been going in 30 minutes early and staying 15 minutes late...that's the best I can do and still make it to pick up DS from school. So we're swamped and I have zero energy. It doesn't help that our pipes are apparently clogged at home, so we can't do dishes, I can't do laundry, we can't use the sink....they are coming to fix it tomorrow, but it sucks because we're pretty much out of clean dishes and no way to clean any until tomorrow between 1 and 5, after I get home from work. And we have home training for Autimaat tomorrow night, and I'm going to have to clean everything once the drainage is cleared...it's going to be a BUSY day tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Thats an insane amount of work.

He's doing better. They're still working against the clots but they've evened out his medication so he's lucid again. He is also eating solid food finally! He's a stubborn old man though so he's refusing to do PT/OT until after they transfer him to a rehab center near home, but he doesn't seem to realize that if he did his PT/OT exercises he'd get transferred a lot sooner. But other than the clots, all good news!! Thank you for asking!!

I don't know about the test yet. It was a final exam so I have to wait to see what grade is posted. I'm hoping for a B but I don't know..... My life has been so chaotic that there was that test I got a C on because I hadn't read any of the material that week. So it could swing any which way and I have no idea. Grades will be posted sometime this week, so fingers crossed!
Sending lots of pixie dust xoxo

That would be great, but I'm not going to count on it. They've been too erratic with that area in the last few weeks....it's becoming seasonal, it's going away, it will open again in the spring...I'm not going to mention anything to DS.
I wouldn't say anything if I was in your shoes. I regret even saying anything to my dh he said one more moving bench goes and he would be hard pressed into going back to Disney

It’s getting ridiculous. There’s just not enough time to do it all.

And there is your answer above. One could also mention here that quality is usually more valuable than quantity. ;):)

He’ll use his favorite line “You’re ruining my passion” 😂

O.k. This made me laugh out loud!! :D

Quick response.... get a passion that doesn't take up every minute of my time and you'll have my complete support.

Brilliant retort!! :hilarious:

We want to give our kids everything, but there is a point where a parent can lose themselves in all of it. You need to think about yourself a little. You need time for you too, to just sit and just be.

Yah, this one is good advice, too. I imagine that parents (and caregivers of either children or adults) are probably better in their role if they can disengage themselves, once in a while. (Kinda like an electronic device that slows down when the battery gets low, but then gets right back up to speed once it's charged.) Everyone needs a break and some space to maintain sanity.

Glad that @MySmallWorldof4 checked with you about the status of your dad's health. I feel remiss in not asking you as well -- think I got caught up in your WDW trip (especially your TR), and it slipped my mind. Anyway, it sounds like he's making progress each day. :) Now, if he'd only do some PT/OT while in there, then he could get out sooner. Sometimes, people are just stubborn!

As my computer is going off every few minutes to remind me how loud it is outside I'm reminded to tell you expect your phones and computers to make a loud blood curdling sound tomorrow at two eighteen pm eastern time for a test of the presidential emergency alert system

 Yes, I heard about the alert system for tomorrow . . . no further comment.

I like it too, but limit it to once each vacation. Had a problem with vertigo some years ago (I had ridden on it multiple times--extra evening magic hours one night), and it really threw off the inner ear fluid balance. Luckily, vertigo didn't hit me until the morning after I got home from WDW. Couldn't get up from bed; head was spinning. Hubs called doctor, and I went through symptoms on the phone, and what I had been doing for the past week. He prescribed something which cured it in a few days.

Fortunately, there’s only one coaster (so far...knock on wood... ;)) that’s ever affected me with any kind of motion discomfort, and only ever mildly for a few seconds after the last inversion just before slowing down at the end.

It’s like riding one continuous, long, giant sphagetti noodle at high speed...!!!!!!! :joyfull: :)
