For the record, I have and will continue to say a big fat āNoā to hockey and lacrosse at this stage, despite the repeated begging. Hockey will remain a NO as long as heās under my roof.. lacrosse will depend on how far he goes with baseball.. one or the other with those sports, for me.
I thought a play would be something different for him.. I seriously didnāt realize the commitment involved.
Currently we have-
LEGO Club.
Fall soccer (avg 3 games per weekend)
Cub Scouts
Coming up in addition to LEGO club and Cub Scouts-
Futsal.
Indoor soccer boarded field.
Basketball.
Outdoor soccer team training resumes in January after a December break.
I canāt say this enough.. I donāt understand how families with multiple kids manage.. I know my parents did it.. but I seriously struggle with 1!!!
Toy Story probably..That's surprising. Why do you think that is?
Tired feet? (except your crew. I am guessing that would be a warm up!)What do you get for a 4 park hop with at least 2 headliners in each park and 2 ADRs in one day?
We only had time to book 3 parks for this November. I like the classic MK experience and the countries in Epcot's World Showcase. So MK and Epcot were chosen immediately. Having 2 chosen and needing to decide on one more park, I created a thread long ago where people brainstormed with me which "3rd park" I should select. In the end I thought Pandora in AK was more exciting than Toy Story.....so we chose AK as our 3rd park.Toy Story probably..
Only Pandora and Toy Story are fresh.
Sounds like a community theater schedule.Oh my goodness. Todayās daily drama
T wanted to do the school play this year.. I signed him up without reading much info before hand.. received an email last night about the parents meeting tomorrow and clicked on the āmore infoā link.
I had no idea that it was this much of a time commitment!!

Talked to T this morning and said, maybe we should just withdraw from the play. No, he wants to do it. January 21st- March 15th???? Come on bud, maybe next year. āMom, I really want to be in a play.ā Ugh. I donāt know if we can add this to our plate.
School plays have changed so much since I was a kid!!!! I had no idea that this was the new norm!!
@SteveBrickNJ , arenāt you a music teacher? When I was a kid we practiced for plays during music class..Iām not sure why that has changed.
@Goofyernmost is correct of course. No one can do it all. Even a 2 parent household cannot, so donāt let T guilt you. Also remember that this all will take place during the Ohio winter. Imagine the cancel and make up days.I appreciate the advice, I think all parents need an outside point of view sometimes.. from anyone, but especially when someone has already been thru these life stages. Thank you!
That stinks. But, at least you are at Disney! Two out of three tracks technical issues on TSM. Standing in FP line waiting. View attachment 317776
We finally got on one. It just bottled up everyone in one big space for awhile. That stinks. But, at least you are at Disney!![]()
Yay for the Party. So much to see and do.Left HS. Have adr at Coral Reef and MNSSHP tonight!!!
We want to give our kids everything, but there is a point where a parent can lose themselves in all of it. You need to think about yourself a little. You need time for you too, to just sit and just be.For the record, I have and will continue to say a big fat āNoā to hockey and lacrosse at this stage, despite the repeated begging. Havenāt eaten at Coral Reef in over 10 years. Dh and I do not eat fish.Left HS. Have adr at Coral Reef and MNSSHP tonight!!!
That would be great, but I'm not going to count on it. They've been too erratic with that area in the last few weeks....it's becoming seasonal, it's going away, it will open again in the spring...I'm not going to mention anything to DS.@Songbird76 it seems Rafiki's will reopen in springI'm keeping my fingers crossed the petting area stays
Well, it was down the street and around a bend, so he wouldn't have seen much, but neighbors said the flash grenade they used before they entered was loud enough to be heard across town, so I'm surprised he didn't notice anything when they raided that house!Scary, and glad they were caught. Your BIL had no clue anything devious was going on next door?
Thanks! Sorry I love fish for protein.Havenāt eaten at Coral Reef in over 10 years. Dh and I do not eat fish.Fish are friends, not food.
Have a great time at the party tonight. That is one we havenāt done. I am trying to figure out a way to sneak it in next year.

I had a pet cow once, but, if I saw her as part of a Big Mac, I would just smile and compliment her on her deliciosity. I think she would like that.Havenāt eaten at Coral Reef in over 10 years. Dh and I do not eat fish.Fish are friends, not food.
