Second day PART 2

So, after deciding were to go.

We first went back to West Vancouver to eat at a Thai place my mom's friend recommended. The food was different but it was really tasty.
We also received a call from the lawyer company I had paid for a small "meeting" to check my options regarding immigration.

The talk took a bit as the store was closing. They gave us good tips and how I was standing.

Then we went to get some supplies.. namely some deodorant for me and a new tooth brush.
The supermarkets in Canada are pretty small compared to the giant Americanized Walmarts. It was easy to shop things we needed and we went on our way to the Capilano Bridge.

The bridge itself its kinda costly. Most think of it as a tourist trap because they only visit the bridge. But in reality there are running, walking and exploring paths on different environments.

My mom's friend since she's a registered tourist guide, She entered for free and had a discount for a new person. I paid for my fee myself.

Anyway the first trail you enter is full of history lessons and old photos of what the bridge was about and what was used for.

Then you enter the area with some classic first nations totems.

As you advance.. you will then see the bridge.. which is pretty long itself.. No support other than the cables. Thus it sways quit a bit.

The center of the bridge gives a very good view of the small canyon.

On the other side, there was a very dense forest are with walkways, small ponds, some photoready cabins and a way to get up to the treetops walkways.

Despite what it seems, there was a lot of people visiting the bridge.

On the other side, after passing the bridge again.. There is a walkway that goes thru suspended way.. tied to the rocks via heavy bolts.
So you're pretty much in an almost vertical canyon where the very narrow walkway is only hanging by these bolts

This place is definitively not apt for those who fear heights.

We stopped for a small drink and a pit stop.
Then we left to return home. Where we had dinner eating some sandwiches we bought before ( not so good honestly..)

Tune in tomorrow for PART 4.
That is such a cool park to visit. I would be a bit scared of that bridge though. I have no fear of heights, just fear of falling.;) Beautiful pictures as always. Was it just me or was anyone else reminded of the original Soarin' when they saw the tall pine valley with the roaring river in the middle? I swear I smelled pine.:hilarious:

Oh and @MySmallWorldof4 I forgot to mention, I picked up sprouted grain bread at Aldi yesterday and am really impressed. It tastes good, the texture is good, and it's 6 grams of protein per slice! The one I grabbed is sweetened with organic honey though, so not entirely healthy.
Honey is way better than cane sugar, and it is organic so you are good! Glad you liked it.:)
