Yeah we need an update when you do book @MySmallWorldof4 !!!
I booked it yesterday. About $2250 with the campsite and trailer for 7 nights. Our original booking for 7 nights in a cabin was just over $2500. So a savings and larger accomodations for us. We are going to try and rent a golf cart from an offsite company. I will see if there will be any savings with that.

We got home at 1:30 am last night. We took it slower than normal because of all the cops out due to St. Patty's Day, we saw quite a few too. My brother-in-law just dropped Kapono off at home bus their dogs. We will have my sister's dogs again until Good Friday, while they are in Florida. It's good to have Kapono home and snuggling, but now how am I supposed to unpack when she doesn't want to move?!
Don’t. Just leave it for the next trip. ;)

Have you tried renting DVC points?

It seems DVC with 1 bedroom suite costs 2672 in animal kingdom

That seems very convenient! :D

These RVs really look very nice!
This is the rv company. https://www.greenbergrvflorida.com/
I paid for their platinum plan. It was $250 but it made the rental cost cheaper altogether and included other benefits. It is good for a tear so if we wanted to rent a trailer from them again before a year is up, the next rental will be cheaper.

They deliver and set up everything including a picnic table and chairs. I just need to call them the morning of check in and tell them the site number.
That definitively sounds convenient!

The campsites also have bus system, right?

Yes they do. We once did the bus circuit when we were there at Christmas to see all the campsites that were decorated.
We use the golf cart to drive around FW. We take it to the Mercantile, Pool, laundry, the Settlement, and then just drive around for fun. We drive to AK and the other parks. We can take the watercraft to CR for a monorail, but driving is faster.

Beautiful! My house is nothing like any of those.lol. When I moved here, I initially planned to buy a 3 bedroom loft in the city. I wanted 20ft ceilings..dropped lighting..exposed brick...corner unit with humongous windows. Then, my mother convinced me to have a yard.. So, I wanted to buy a 100+ year old home in a historic district near downtown, with a small yard.
BUT- after a painstaking search and a lot of painstaking thinking.. I finally decided to buy a 10 year old house in the outerburbs.. with a big yard, and none of my original “must haves”.. including- walking distance to Starbucks.ha ha. :( This is the first time in my life that I am not near the water, not in walking distance of anything, no where near “the action” by foot. It’s weird and I still haven’t completely grown accustomed to it.

Edit “life” as in adult life from 18+. I grew up in the suburbs. I didn’t want to raise my children in the suburbs though.

As always, whatever we feel works best for our families is the most important thing. There is no predetermined formula. We love, we raise, and we guide our children the best we see fit. I love my children with all my heart, and they turned out better than good...!!!!!!!!!! :joyfull:
Better than me, for sure...!!!!!
I don't worry about their futures!!!!!!!

I have always lived in the suburbs for the vast majority of my life, and have loved it. The exception was the two years (82-84) when I lived with a buddy of mine from the northeast that was down here going to UT at the time.
We lived in a place in the heart of the UT campus. IT. WAS. A. HOOT...!!!!!!!!!!!! :joyfull:
We walked everywhere, even when we were drunker than Cooter Brown!!!!! :hilarious:
Never got into any major trouble, and it was awesome to be within walking/stumbling ;) distance of almost everything...!!!!!!! :joyfull:
With that said, when DWifey and myself started looking for homes to start a family in, it was unanimous burbs. And, as I've posted before, a dead end street is what we settled on. We loved the house, and knew it would make us feel safer for them. Again (why I always feel the need to clarify this here lately  is just ridiculous) no judgment on others, just our choices.
And, I love my family, sooooo very much more than they could ever know...!!!!!!!!!!
