A: you gonna play this with me Mommy?

Me: sure, kid, i can play that with you...

A: so,... You're going to play with this toy...?

Me: yes, I'll play with that toy with you... Why??

Well @figmentfan423 look what my lovely DD found for me. My love of Disney Tangled and the use of the Frying Pan. Over the last few years I've looked for a Necklace Charm of a Frying Pan but no such luck. I could find cheap little trinkets but not a quality charm. Given it is Near and Dear to my Heart she found one. Made my week. :inlove:

The new year festival is still going on on Bali. The day before yesterday was Ogoh Ogoh day, those are evil spirits that the Balinese believe visit the Island and they need to get rid of them before the new year. The Balinese young men make large paper marche statues displaying evil, that they parade around on new years eve accompanied by music and dancing ladies.
In the afternoon the statues are moved to the beach so people can admire them before the parade starts.
Some of the Ogoh Ogoh statues.

Disney Inn, The

Disney Inn, The Golf hotel at Walt Disney World, formerly The Golf Resort. The name was changed in 1986. The hotel was popular not only for golfers, but by other guests because its more secluded location, not on the Monorail line, made it seem quieter and more restful. Leased by the government in 1994 for military personnel and renamed Shades of Green.

Yesterday was Nyepe or new years day here and the Balinese have a very unique way of "celebrating".
It is also known as silence day as everyone has to stay inside for 24 hours. This time should be used for quiet contemplation and meditation. You are not allowed to watch tv, use your phone, tablet, play music or turn on lights, fasting is also part of the tradition. The believe is that this day will trick the evil spirits into thinking the island is deserted. We had to stay in our guesthouse but since we are not Balinese Hindus we didn't have to fast and we could use our electronics in the room. The internet was turned off for the entire island and no tv channels were broadcasting so we just read, chatted and I went for a quiet swim in the pool. Our food was cooked by a nice lady from a different island, we had chicken and rice for lunch which we were expected to eat with our hand. I know the rules for eating with your hand but I am not very good at it which amused the lunch lady to no end.😂
I took a sneaky picture of the alleyway next door where a makeshift barrier had been made to make sure no one walked out onto the street.
