We have the week before Easter through April 3 off for Spring Break. Because we start so early in August we have a lot of extra days off built in. If they didn't we could get out the second week of May.

When I was in grade school, we didn't get out until the last week of June.

I don't know if I would like that schedule. I would rather have less days off. I can start a new school year on July 1 so I can spread out my school year if I want.

At one point Ohio was proposing a law where all schools start after Labor Day, which I would like. Starting so early in August is rough because our classrooms don't have a/c.

World SciFi be scary for a three year old?

I see a lot of kids at SciFi with no issue. Their rotation is mixed, so you'll see a preview of a B movie, then you might see another clip of what they used to show in movie theaters (no PDAs! ) some of the technology they were working on in the 50s (the video phone!) and there's cartoons thrown in. There's a Tom and Jerry one and another about a cat who hated people so he goes to the moon. It's supposed to feel more silly than anything, and that seems to be how kids take it.

We have that now in Maryland. In after Labor day, finished by June 15. Wish that had been in effect when I was in school.

I actually watched the 50 ft Woman, because it was in Sci Fi. The Blob is one of my favorites.

I did get a sub plan ready but I'm not going to need it. Right now I feel slightly better. And our district is under a 2 hour delay because of ice.

Albertsons wants to buy the rest of Rite Aid. Which Albertsons a supermarket chain who owns Shaws (in New England).

I start my new job which im iffy on. Not because I can't do the work but because boringness. I go in at 10 because my boss is going in then. But I want my day to start at 7.

And then on the flip side, I will probably be submitting my uni application today. I still think my essay should be longer (225 words) but the topic was only say up to 500 word support your application

Oh yes, Iron Man. We saw that on TV as well. That was really good. Ds liked that one. Again, he was older than T at the time.

I do think that especially the beginning of Iron Man is quite violent. Maybe watch the first 20 minutes by yourself @21stamps to decide if T is mature enough to watch it. What about Captain America, might be better suited as a first Marvel film.

I do think that especially the beginning of Iron Man is quite violent. Maybe watch the first 20 minutes by yourself @21stamps to decide if T is mature enough to watch it. What about Captain America, might be better suited as a first Marvel film.

I looked up some more and the language is still rated too high for my liking. This may sound strange, but as far as violence- we have all of the Star Wars Movies.. they’re violent, but it such a fantasy type of violence that it doesn’t bother me, and I watched them as a child.
I think I’ll watch one of the Marvel movies by myself, and then see if I think it’s appropriate. The spider-man homecoming movie looks like the best so far, I think I’ll try to see that and maybe the first Avengers movie.

I dropped of my passport and paperwork at the Indonesian embassy this morning to get my visa. I always feel a bit nervous leaving my passport but I had no choice. I can pick it up on Thursday so at least it is a short wait.
