Here are some pictures from my weekend with my niece. Friday night was just taco night and relaxing at home.

Saturday was breakfast at the bar in our town, The bar in our town serves excellent food and the breakfasts are excellent. Sorry no pictures of that, maybe another time for that. After breakfast we headed to the Mall of America. After I returned some clothes to Macy's our next stop was the Disney store.

Looks like they are releasing fancy Mickey's throughout the year. Here is this month's.

I love Tangled and the Tangled series. Flynn Rider/Eugene might be my cartoon boyfriend. I found this plush Eugene on clearance. Yes he came home with me.

We wandered around and found a seat in the big rotunda for the Chinese New Year celebration. It was fun to watch the dragon and some of the musical acts. I love that it is the year of the dog. But really for Kapono, every year is her year!

Then we went to the glow in the dark mini-golf. It had a rock and roll theme and was really fun. I came in last but I was the only one to get a hole in one!

We stopped at the cheese store and got some samples (yum!) and the Minnesota themed store still had this photo op up from the Super Bowl a couple weeks ago. This is a pretty popular phrase in this area, another appropriate one would have been Uf Da! That is a pretty popular Scandinavian American phrase in these parts! :)

We had lunch at Shake Shack and it was super yummy and so filling. We didn't end up eating dinner until late that night. THis is my bacon cheeseburger, fries and chocolate shake.

After eating we stopped at the dough stand for cookie dough to eat later at home. And we headed home. Once home we chilled played games including the Oregon Trail card game. And just like we the old computer game we all got some sort of calamity and died before reaching Oregon. This morning I took my niece to church to listen to the visiting bell choir after making her Mickey waffles for breakfast and then we played some games before taking her home.

Once I got back home I hubs and I relaxed and then he talked me into going to see Black Panther. I'm glad I went it was really enjoyable. But I never got my nap so I think I will be sleeping well tonight. Oh and we have snow and ice on the agenda for tomorrow. And I think I'm coming down with a little bug, sometimes I feel great sometimes I feel icky. If I'm going to be sick, I wish it would just come already. Or if not go away.
I'm digging the Peace van.

Hashtag Stitch? Didn't know. I just think he is cute. DD7 has a Disney gift card and she wants to use it to get another Stitch.:hilarious: By the way you can learn Hebrew on Duolingo. It is a free app if you don't mind advertising. My kids use it on the computer and we have it on their ipads as well.

Dutch is similar to German, isn't it? Was it hard to learn Dutch?

The next time you’re in Hollywood Studios take a look for them. They’re at the exit of most rides, and a Santa Stitch was there during our trip as well.
It was a little game for us..’ find all of the hashtag Stitch!’ (He’s T’s favorite character)

Thanks for the tip on Duolingo.. I’ll take a look at it!

Maybe they are ok with the security but the vacation planning site stinks. I tried an hour or so ago to check and see how much a package (tickets and hotel) would cost for the 6 of us for a few days next May(2019) and I couldn't get a price. It said I didn't meet length of stay requirements. I kept making the stay longer, and I still got the same message. I guess you have to book ticket and hotel separately? I wasn't looking for a discount, just wanted a round about price.
Really? I just looked a few days ago at their package deals and didn't have a problem, but now I don't know if I was looking at 2019 or not...

Stitch is a favorite around here as well. Here is a picture of ds at 8 months old on his first Disney trip in 2004. Stitch didn’t want to let him go. :)It was a memorable moment for me. I don’t think the characters are allowed to hold kids anymore.

Dropped my kid off at Zoo Camp this morning.. thought I’d share these photos with you all.
I wouldn’t mind a sloth outside of my classroom ;)

Zoo camp? I guess the zoo had a special program today since it was a day off school? That is a wonderful thing. I know my 2 youngest would have loved something like that. Sloths are weird to me. They'd be cuter if not for their super long claws.

Yes. Our Zoo has weekly summer camps/Christmas break/Holiday(MLK/Presidents’ Day)/Spring Break camps.
Kiddo has done the weeklong camps before, but this is his first time he has done a 1 day camp.
He was originally supposed to do a baseball camp today. However, I feel like we’re on sports overload the past 6 months, so I thought this would be a nice change of pace.

Our museum does them too, different themes throughout the year/summer weeks. We’ve been very happy with their camps as well. I’m not sure about the Zoo, but at the museum T usually has quite a few home school kids in his group.

Well school/work was let out early today because of ice and snow that came. It is kind of nice to have a few extra couple of hours at home. I was one of the last to leave work though, I figured I don't have a long drive and everyone would be leaving and the copier would be free.
You didn't have President's Day off? I know some school's here had kids go to school as a make-up day for all the snow days.

No we never have President's Day off, we don't do MLK day either unless it is the end of the semester and have a teacher work/inservice day. We have had 2 snow days so far so our last day has turned into a full day and as staff we have to make up 4 extra hours on our own.
