My kids use Duolingo for foreign language. I started it to improve my lousy high school French, and have thrown in German for myself.

I take it you are past the FREE in their Freemium offers. Any idea what it costs and is it forever, monthly, yearly or per language?

It's a sad morning at our house. Our society finch "Mo" died overnight. We lost his mate "Miney" about 6 months ago, and now he is gone. Wondering if the shovel can break the sound under the snow, so Mo can be buried near his mate. My heart is breaking a bit this morning. Mo was a real songbird. How he loved it when we put his cage near the window in the nice weather. He would sing all day long, and hop from branch to branch. Or perch to perch in his cage. We had 6 finches, and now we have three left. Eenie, Meanie, and their baby Dottie.

So sorry to hear about Mo. The loss of a pet is very hard. At least you know he had a good home with you and maybe you can take a little comfort in that.

Are you using your computer? What I do is click on the image, then I right click it to open in a new page and then I can right click it to copy. Then it should paste. With my iphone I have to save it to my phone first and then just upload it.

That's what I've been doing all along, but this past week, it doesn't work anymore.

I have to do a 500 word small essay of why I want to study in Ireland and to help my application for college. I'm at 100 words and have writers block.

Maybe write about the benefits of tea -- the Irish love their tea!! (My grandparents on both sides were from Ireland and they only drank tea, not coffee.)

Nope. Don’t pay at all. My kids have used the program for a few years now.

DD10 has both German and French going with Duolingo. You just x out from the ads.

All the kids had bumpers and they all used the same crib that had the drop down side. We never had issues. We got our monies worth out of that crib.

Yep, all 3 of our kiddos used the same crib, too. But, the age difference from oldest to youngest is just a little more than 3 years and 2 months, though.

Sounds like you may not have been very far off. DD said it was fun, a little too short, and good for extra credit for English.

Little dd needs some pixie dust. We are going to Philly tonight for a competition tomorrow, and they will be competing against the team that they got beat out for first place in Atlantic City. One of the other teams that was really good will be there as well. The coaches changed their routine to make it more difficult and the practices have been rough. There is also call for snow tomorrow. Really? It was 68 here yesterday. Apparently there will be a 20 degree drop from right now to tonight. Mother Nature is such a tease.

Hope it went well! I am sure I will find out as I keep Ketchup-ing.

Didn't even have to do that. The other girls parents decided to attend. I just stayed warm and cozy.

Yes I agree. Tech wise with Uni they are leaps and bound ahead of Disney World with their security and I like everyone walks through the metal detector and everyone's belongings are x-rayed. While not likely state of the art it is better than randomly tapping someone to walk through a metal detector or how well each guard examines each bag. It is quick and orderly. Much better than the 45 minutes it took me to get inside Epcot in December. Crazy. So many people missing their FP's

Maybe they are ok with the security but the vacation planning site stinks. I tried an hour or so ago to check and see how much a package (tickets and hotel) would cost for the 6 of us for a few days next May(2019) and I couldn't get a price. It said I didn't meet length of stay requirements. I kept making the stay longer, and I still got the same message. I guess you have to book ticket and hotel separately? I wasn't looking for a discount, just wanted a round about price.
