I'm not sure how much of the hotel you can see. I remember needing a key cards to get to certain parts. I believe that's due to the golf course on propertyIs it a pretty walk? I remember your gator picture.

@dryerlintfan on our MK morning we liked the walk to the ferry. It was less hectic than the monorail
Actually can anyone walk to SOG from Poly? I am now curious to see it. Can anyone eat there or do you need a military ID?
Really? I'm her great grandson who timetraveled to warn her about fake long lost unknow brothers!

Just travel with @figmentfan423 's tribe. They would eat any gators before it got to you.I had back to back meetings today and only had a 45 minute break around lunchtime. I spent it looking up how to protect yourself from an alligator attackI feel much better about your pictures now. Apparently they have very little stamina, don't like pursuing their prey very far, and are generally only a real danger if you're hanging out by the water where they can drag you in and death roll you.
I'm absolutely not letting A down on the walkways near the water unless she's holding my hand though.

Over the years I've seen a few in different waterways on property. Disney was built on a swamp in Florida so you'll see some once in a while.I had back to back meetings today and only had a 45 minute break around lunchtime. The best way I look at it is how they were raised. I compare what you mentioned to my younger brother and I.I hafta' say, all 3 of our kiddos were never teen crazy. They acted like typical teens from time to time, but, never anything crazy. We never had any issues with drug or alcohol use/abuse, promiscuity, sneaking out at night, driving tickets, etc.
DWifey and myself still talk about how blessed we were, and continue to be...!!!!!![]()
That picture of Dale Earnhardt's old Daytona 500 car is makes me feel old. I saw Dale's 1998 Daytona 500 win on television live.3 Days until The Great American Race.

Yep, I don't get the hate you find on all Disney Websites by a chunk of members. I love love love this imagineering on theI'm glad that you posted that on this site. People need to realize that Universal may not be Walt's park, but, Seuss Landing very readily shows that they can theme with the best of them. In fact, I don't think I can remember any Disney attraction that has that much theming involved with it. It makes Disney look like a bunch of upstarts.

My younger brother and I were different than some of the classmates we had in school. My younger brother and I stayed away from drugs, Alcohol, and smoking. We also didn't skip school either.
My younger brother and I grow up in a house that my parents didn't put up with anything. I came from a house hold that if you get in trouble, you get television, video games, etc. taken away and you had to set in the kitchen table reading books or play with your thumbs.

And the woody woodpecker area has so much to do for young kids too including areas to run around, blow off steam like Disney extinct child attractions like Toon and The Shrunk playground set at the studios. Universals Woody area has a Barney indoor building for kids to cool off, play on tree forts designed for the young with slides, spitting frogs, a train they can board that is meant to climb on, So much to do in their Kids Zone

And then there is the Curious George section that is beyond awesome

Sadly Destination Florida guests fail to realize what is there for kids until their kids are sometimes teenagers and find out what they missed for their little ones.
True (long) story: I had a long lost half brother that I had never met or talked to. When I was in Baghdad we had to take turns going on mid tour leave so no more than two soldiers were gone from our unit at a time. I kept delaying mine and delaying mine because I didn't have kids or obligations back home and other people needed to get home for things like family christmas or their children's spring breaks. So by the time it was finally my turn to take my mid tour leave, it was almost time to go home for good. I didn't want to go home for two weeks, say goodbye to everyone, go back to war, then come home a month later. So I'm sitting there thinking of all the places I can go instead of back home to America and the thought hits me..... my dad had a son when he was stationed in Germany.
So I called my dad and he only had this really old address, but assured me that people in Europe almost never moved. Houses in Germany are family houses and multi generational, not like in the states where we move every few years. So equipped with nothing but this 35 year old address, I made my way to Germany. The first thing I did when I got there was go to McDonald's and get myself a fountain drink. I cannot tell you how absolutely incredible that fountain drink was, after spending 14 months in the desert. But then I went in search of my half brother.
I took a flight, a 4 hour train ride, a 2 hour bus ride and finally a 1.5 mile walk in the drizzling rain to find his house. I nervously knocked on the door, honestly not sure what he would say or think or do. This man came out who was around the right age, but he told me that the owner of the house died three years before. My half brother was dead. He had moved in, and had never had a chance to know my brother. To console me, he mentioned that his neighbors were very friendly with Americans, so being that my half brother was half American maybe they would have known him and could tell me some stories about him. I agreed that some stories and maybe a couple pictures would be better than nothing.
But when I went next door, I saw my last name on the mailbox!! My dad had the address wrong!! I rang the doorbell and my half brother ran to meet me. He invited me to stay, and meet his mom and their whole family, and his ancient grandmother cooked a special German feast in my honor.
The BEST part though, was that because I had found him, he was able to connect with my siblings and parents. He flew to the States the next year to stay with our dad and visit his cousins and grandparents and nieces and nephews and his great aunt. Now our families are entwined and we'll never be long lost again!![]()
I was sad when they removed the HOP section from the parade and replaced it with the pets one.Yep, I don't get the hate you find on all Disney Websites by a chunk of members. I love love love this imagineering on the

Tomorrow I am having a nuclear stress test, and will come home from the facility with a 48 hour heart monitor. The cardiologist wants to find out once and for all if I do indeed have an irregular heartbeat. I also told him at my last appointment about how tired I get after certain activities. I attribute it to my age of course, but I guess it could be something else. I didn't realize that the stress test took so long. I just received a phone reminder about the procedure. Keep good thoughts about me tomorrow.
Thank you so much! That's the best cake ever! Now I have to find one for your belated birthday!![]()
