All is well!! My daughter's birthday is coming up in two weeks, so I've been busy preparing for that. We decided to give her gender neutral room a makeover so it better fits her personality, so we've been turning it into a princess room. I'll post pictures when it's all done, but let me tell you, creating a pink sparkly wall isn't exactly easy, LOL

Sparkly walls are so much fun and the one I did for one wall in my DD room was so cute but beyond messy. She was in elementary school and crafty so she helped me (while Daddy was at work 'cause that would have gone over badly and not approve, can't say no if we didn't ask, giggle.) White Wall base. Then we took 3 stamps very similar to these 3. Thick hot pink paint. One stamp at a time. Stamped the pink swirl on wall and then poured a bit of white frost glitter into our hands and blew it onto the wet paint stamp and repeat and repeat. I had a tarp painters taped to top of base board to cover it and hard wood floor. We did learn that even as well as I had it sealed glitter is like baby ants, glitter finds it way to stay with you forever. Even when she moved we could still find trace amounts of random glitter. For the future, years from now. Kiltz primer covers it all very well, for us in one coat. I paint murals, or did and there were many I covered and repainted over the years and Kiltz is my partner in crime.

Can't wait to see her finished room. Bet she is going to love it.

She's also got her party coming up. We're doing an Olaf/Summer/Frozen pool party. It's really cool we can do a pool party indoors in the winter, but I'm not looking forward to putting my bathing suit on.
Fun. My DD the now part time water park manager suggests as little ones come into the pool area have them all fitted with life jackets. Almost all facilities have free of charge US Coast Guard approved life jackets they will happily strap on to the Princesses and Princes attending the Royal Birthday Party. :)

And then in the few minutes I do have to come check on things here, I get overwhelmed by how far behind I am. I might just go back 6-10 pages and pretend like I'm all caught up :hilarious::hilarious:

Welcome to my world these days. :arghh: At times I just pick up where we are at but I generally follow @Goofyernmost guidelines and at least read or respond to the Alerts and declare myself caught up when I fall behind which is often these days

I threw off Jack's perfect dog world this weekend. One of his favorite things is scavenging in the little basket in the bathroom. He thinks it's his toy box. Finally, I got tired of finding chewed up pieces of paper, toothpaste boxes, etc. strewn sll over the floor.

Went to Target and bought a small metal basket that has a foot step, that opens up a lid on top of the basket, and the lid then closes. Voila. He can't get in it. He was moping around yesterday--standing in front of it with a forlorn look on his face.:hilarious:

Poor Jack! I don't think I could have done that. :grumpy: Maybe he'll learn to push it forward and tip it over???? :geek:

But to the same point when we bought the house 30 some years ago I had a Shepard that got into everything while I was at work. She was fine while we were home but leave.....So when we bought the long term house (we had for almost 2 months before we moved in) I bought new garbage cans, bath and bedrooms similar to what you bought at Target.

The kitchen well Pup got into all sorts of issues in our previous house. I had a next door neighbor who loved her and would let her out at dinner time as I was taking some classes in the evening right after work. Often that neighbor would clean up Kitchen garbage spread across the floor before I came home (tried to remember to put the dang can in the attached garage there proactively but some mornings ya just didn't have enough caffeine to be thinking garbage) So when we were moving I bought this commercial 12 gallon garbage can for quick service restaurants. It had a galvanized steel drum (heavy, and a enamel steel can that went over the drum. She wasn't knocking that sucker over. She did try to stick her head into the flap once and freak'd herself out when her head got stuck. Problem solved. I left that can behind when I sold the house as the young woman has a PitBull. Your welcome lady.
