A lot of these could have easily fallen by substandard maintenance and training.

Specially the poor monorail..

True. And the amount of inspections. Splash they knew those lifts were leaking forever and a day. My Guess is they didn't expect the water to actually make chunks of the mountain crumble. Duh factor. Got to wonder how long the maintenance was being cut back for the attraction animatronics to having things like chunks of the monorail falling to the ground. Any of these from the tree of life, monorail, splash or lamp post on load area arguably could have killed a CM or guest. Fortunate it didn't.

We won’t see our duck friends for at least a month or two. :(

Yep. Our ducks are usually late May or April. Our Swans return Early to mid April. This has been a long winter. I long for at least the minnie breaks we normally get. It has been about 5 years since winter is just always winter. My smile is no snow predicted for at least tomorrow. Joy Joy. :in pain:

Can't wait for the conspiracy theories claiming that Obama did cause the accident. :hilarious:

The accident is kinda ironic, as there has been quite a bit of accidents of armtrack lately. Right after constant fund cutting by GOP if I remember correctly (specifically Ryan who pushed the cuts the most and who was hurt in this accident)

Finger pointed has already started. Nobody is surprised.

Just as friendly as the Disney ducks. We always enjoy feeding them.

I went down mid-April in 2012 several months after my son moved to Central Florida. It was baby duck season throughout Disney World. Who needed attractions at WDW these little guys and their parents were priceless.

Epcot was so accommodating they even put up ramps so the tiny little ducklings could get out of the ponds.

Wow! I had no idea this had happened. I had to search it out. You are correct that it could have been much worse. I wonder if the railroad crossing did not have a signal.

Me either. So scary. I miss a lot of what happens during the day. Lucky if I hit the highlights in the morning and it is likely late at night or if at all if I catch up at night. I never seem to have time to watch TV during the daytime. Such is life. *prayers for all* Awful. :(

Thats a lie! some of the birds of Disney are vicious!!

I remember that big white bird near the Flame Tree BBQ (near the dinoland boneyard area).
That actively hunts for any Rib left unattended. :hilarious::hilarious:

I have a big white bird that always visits me at Flame Tree. I feed him 'cause if I don't he feeds himself. Worse of the two evils. I see the signs. The signs don't help when they help themselves.

If these time sheets impact their pay you would think they would remember. Maybe if they didn't get paid because they forgot their time sheets maybe then they would start remembering. ;)

They are likely salaried. It is their employees that likely would not get paid. :cautious: When my son was granted 2 assistants a bit more than a year ago payroll and timesheets was the first thing he off-loaded. Yeah he knew the timeline. But some other crisis was always pulling or higher management calling for meetings. Not like he didn't want to do it however in his line of work priorities of ever changing days happen. He was beyond happy to plop it on the new persons responsibility list and never looked back.

My DD submits her own time sheet electronically. Works out so much better then departments doing it.
