The teacher might be of certain location. Some states and cities have their own differences.

For example.. quesadilla in 99% of Mexico a tortilla with cheese inside.
in certain areas of mexico city and the estate of mexico, the name is "quesadilla con queso". (quesadilla means a tortilla with anything in these places)
Interesting. If I would see quesdadilla con queso on a menu I would think that it would be a quesadilla (which has cheese in it already), with more cheese.:joyfull:

But they are not chips of potato but slices so therefore silly name
Agreed, but I didn't make up the name...I didn't invent the English language or any dialect there of...I just use it. There are a LOT of silly names for things.
Brouhaha, Twinkie, pickle...why are they called what they're called? Some things make sense...like Elevator/lift....that makes sense. But mango? Who looked at that fruit and said "I shall call it a mango because that's what it looks like!"? At least "star fruit" or "orange" are descriptive. But, mango was what they chose to call that fruit, so obviously descriptiveness is not always a factor in naming things.

Oh, I didn't give it go him--he was a little creep and stole my yogurt!!
I had a cat, Moxie, who, back when I used to eat yogurt, liked to sit on my lap and lick the container when I was done. And of course I let him. He would wait for me to finish and then up on the lap he went.

Of course, if you want to talk really brazen animal, we had people over on Saturday, and as we were talking after eating, Jasmine jumped up on the table. We had been talking about the fact that she's a bad cat. She was just there proving our point.

That looks delish! :hungry:

Last night, I also used my fast cooker (Cuisinart). Read that it cooked a whole chicken (4-5 pounds) in 30 minutes. But that's misleading, as it then said you have to brown it on all sides first . . . that's an extra step. :cautious: Then you wait for the pot to get up to pressure after that. Anyway, by the time you go through all that, it was more like an hour and 20 minutes by the time you're finished cooking. :grumpy:

The one thing I am overly impressed with is how tender all the meat has been that she has cooked in the instant pot, Mongolian Beef was melt in your mouth tender and the sauce did fuse all the flavors together so well. It was yummy.

She had to work yesterday so I was her Sous Chef. I chopped, diced, sliced and measured things all afternoon for the 3 items served. I had a few hours into all the prep work. In fairness I'd have that prep too if I cooked on stove or crock pot but the instant pot is better at leaving meat juicy and does cook quickly when ya eventually get to the pressure cooking time.

My DD thoughts are if she took a few hours once a week or two and pulled all the ingredients together, sliced, diced and chopped, put in zip locks in the freezer and then just was able to dump into the instant pot it might work out better for her. She loves it but she bought it 'cause she works 2 jobs and is now in Grad School and thought she'd spend LESS time preparing real meals. Ha!

Got my car back from the repair shop. $140. Not too horrible. And they ran it through the car wash and vacuumed it, which my mom told me I had to do before vacation. Now I no longer have to do it. 😁 Jasmine has her follow up vet visit tonight, I still need to pack, my duffel isn't coming until Wednesday, I need to do some cleaning, I have something going on Thursday night, and I wanted to do my nails...didn't particularly feel like vacuuming the car.
