As much as it pains me (@MinnieM123 I'm looking at you) @Mr Ferret 88 is correct. What you call fries are chips and what you call chips are crisps.

Sorry, but considering chips are an American invention, the inventor gets to name his own product. And different countries call things different names. Doesn't make any of them wrong.

@Mr Ferret 88 , we went to the zoo today and I took some pictures of the giraffes for Donna. Took some other pictures just because.
We didn't get to see the whole zoo because we were planning on doing some parts with the in-laws. They volunteer at the hospital 2 Sundays a month, pushing people's beds to the church service, and today was one of their Sundays, so they were going to meet us at the zoo when they were finished, but they ended up not being up to it. So we had saved those parts of the zoo that they wanted to do, and then when they were too exhausted, we left and decided to go back next week when maybe they'd be feeling better because they don't have to push beds. We have an AP for the zoo, so we can go whenever we want. So next week will be chimps and gorillas, butterflies, the "ocean", and the "bush" (rain forest?). But oma and opa said their zoo days are over...they don't want to do the ECV things, and they don't want us to push them in wheelchairs, and they can't walk it. Today was the safari, the desert, and the rimba.

Well, if you want to get all technical, 'Merica kind of stole 'Merica and renamed it. It was "the colonies" wasn't it? But see, there was this war we fought to have the right to rename everything...pretty sure it was about potato chips, and we won. So chips they are!!

I ignore it here because I know some people find it hurtful to be corrected on things like that....it doesn't come as easily to some as it does to me, plus we have some non-native speakers here. You are safe from censure from me.

Yup. Sometimes I get caught up in the spirit of the fun moment....I just bang out a reply and select "post reply". Just trying to keep up with the fun posting at that moment. Proof reading just slows it down.Probably many people are the same way.It would be nice if I used "they're" just havin' fun
