Is your printer networked? is it wireless? or does it use a print server?
what brand/model of printer? also tried to turn it on by hand manually before printing? or if its wireless.. can you shutdown and restart the printer?
Printer is wireless. It is on our family network. We have 2 other laptops and they can all print to it as can my iPhone right now. This computer is the only one with an issue. I uninstalled the software. I then reinstalled the downloaded software from HP and followed the install directions. When it goes to search for the printer it says it cannot find it. I even typed in the IP address.

My parents never let us watch any Christmas movies that alluded to religion in any way. Which, as you can imagine, doesn't leave many. I have never seen any of the classics except the Grinch and Die Hard
So they approved of a violent movie like Die Hard, but not a classic like "A Christmas Carol?". Weird, but hey, I am sure they had their reasons. Rudolph or Frosty are quite tame.;)

Okay. Uninstall the printer completely...along with any software that came with it. Then restart the computer and do a clean install and any necessary updates. I worked in the print industry for years...these kinds of issues suck.
No dice. Did not work. The computer cannot find the darn printer.

My parents were...... unconventional. The first time I saw Rocky Horror Picture Show, for example, I was about five years old. We watched the Simpsons and Married with Children every week.

Try to search for the Windows firewall and disable it for a moment, then try to search the ip or printer.

Also you sure the laptop is connected to the network?
Could the printer have a limit in the number of concurrent connections?
If you turned off the other computers, does the problematic one starts detecting the printer?
Can you ping the printer's address?

To ping the address of the printer:

press Windows key + R keys. it should bring the RUN prompt.
type CMD then click OK

an ancient looking MSDOS box with text will appear.

type "ping <printer address here in ip4 format>"

Sans the < > and sans the " " .

so if my printer is in 192.168.1.128 you type in the black box "ping 192.168.1.128" and see if it replies.

They live in the area by Naperville and Joliet. And the Hampton is pretty nice we stayed there when we had to go down there for a confirmation at the end of September.
I like the Naperville area it is fun. Congestion galore but as a visitor there is always something to do and the outlet has a large Disneyland outlet Aurora.

Joliet is where my Dad rests in Peace. A beautiful military cemetery and kept immaculate

I stopped at Walgreens to buy a string of lights for my Christmas tree, and they were buy one, get 1/2 off. I also picked up some cute learning toys for my great neice's little boy. They were buy 2 get the third one free. My visit to Walgreen's proceeded my trip to the eye doctor. He scheduled my next eye doctor appointment for the day after my cardiologist visit. Hopefully I will get the AOK for my 2nd cataract procedure by then. It will be nice to have that all done and behind me.

Got outta' the office at 3:30-ish today...!!! :)
Ran outta' stuff to do. Finished one partners project, and then the other informed me that the tech working on his was running behind, so it wouldn't be ready for me to run with 'til tomorrow morning. :( :D ;)
Which actually worked out fine, 'cause we were all about 3-ish hours ahead on our time 'cause of the holiday...as most of y'all know, we normally only work 5-ish hours on Fridays, but, all our paid days off are for 8 hrs.
So, I'm OK with this...! :)

We lived in a tiny town, so selling cookies was always hard. I was always the top seller in my troop though. I usually mad it to about 450 boxes and that was usually more than the rest of the troop combined. Nope, no s'mores then...they've changed some of the names I guess. I still call them samoas, but they are now "Caramel delights" and I say "Tagalongs" but they are now "Peanut butter patties" not to be confused with the former Do-si-dos which are peanut butter sandwich cookies. There are some other new ones, too, but I'm a classic kind of girl. I like the old favorites.

Cool!!! :)
Yep, the 3 you mentioned were all Caramel Delights, Peanut Butter Patties, and Peanut Butter Sandwhiches when our DDs sold them.
And yep, same here on the classic, and we still continue to support...!!! :)

Lets go together, so you can give me your crawfish :p

Yes, indeed!!!!! :hungry:
Way back in the day, my youngest bro worked at a very popular place called Pearl's Oyster Bar here in northwest Austin. He was a food expediter at the time. They had a crawfish fettuccini dish that was insanely good, and when we went there, he made sure they doubled up on the crawfish in my order...!!!!! :joyfull: :hungry:
SO. DARN. GOOD...!!!!!!! :joyfull: :hungry:
