To the month day year thing, I know in Spanish you would say it el diez y ocho de octubre 2018, day month year, but we say in English we say October 18, 2017. Therefore, day month year makes sense in our brains.

As for everything else, well, we like to do things our own way even if it doesn't make sense. We're the teenagers of the world.

No flu shot today for myself or my dh, only seniors or those with a medical condition for now. My ds with autism qualified but my celiac didn't

Sometimes I wish we'd switch over because it would make calculating changes to cooking recipes and amounts of fabric needed easier.

It might take years.. even decades, you cant just erase something that has been used for way too long.

Sorry you couldn't get yours. We got ours a couple weeks ago. I'm not always for sure the flu shot prevents anything but I figure it is worth a shot.
