Out for me. Time to go over the grocery ads for the next week, and make out a list. I'll probably forget something, hubby is good about going back and picking things up. Of course, I cook while he is gone. It all even's out. Have a great day. Everyone stay safe. This old world feels like it is falling apart. I want "normal" for a good long time. :):):)

Seems odd to me as my allergies are starting to fade now we are in september. Probably down to different allergens ?
It's weed times. We get a lot of wind from Arizona, keeps the allergies going all year. We have had no rain, and everything is dying and producing a lot of blowing dust , along with the fires. We have another bad air quality day. High pollution, ozone mainly.

The day has arrived. I'm talking about my appointment with the eye doctor who is going to perform my double cataract surgery. Lots of people have told me how "it isn't that bad". I am sure that is probably true. However, I am dreading it all the same. Perhaps it wouldn't seem quite so dreadful if the surgeon/clinic wasn't an hour's drive from our house. I'll have to grin and bear it, since it really must be done. I should have exact dates by the end of the day. At least today's appointment is in an office closer to my house. He has a city office where he only see patient's one day a week, and then his suburban office/clinic where he does his surgery.

Rant alert:

I really hate September. Seriously, I feel like I haven't been able to breathe all month. I've already gone to the doctor to see if I needed a change of meds, and he said nope; he thinks it's working, but I still CANNOT BREATHE! :banghead:

I think I should look for a transfer. Maybe I'd be better in Atlanta? Dunno. Ugh!
Sorry to tell you this but you'd be ranting in October in Atlanta, I found that out the hard way:(:banghead:

Good luck with the surgery, I hope recovery goes well. @Goofyernmost had that surgery . He said it wasn't bad. I'm not looking forward to that. My cataracts aren't all that bad, so it should be a long way off.

I jumped the gun. I really thought that today was my consultation for my surgery. Instead that is two weeks off. I just wanted it to finally be scheduled, so it would soon be behind me. Instead test results showed today that I absolutely should have surgery for my Macular Pucker on my right eye, as well as letting a plastic surgeon fix my droopy eyelid on the same eye. That means they are now recommending four separate surgeries. A lot to digest, but I have time to get use to these new facts, before anything is actually done.

Best wishes to you. That's a lot to digest, as you said. It's probably all positive though, just aggravating until they do everything that needs to be done. Hang in there.

True, and I had that same anxiety. No one likes having things stuck in your eye. I'm here to say that you feel nothing in the line of pain, It is amazingly gentle and quick. And the difference in ones vision is mind boggling. I can't stop you from feeling that anxiety, but, I can tell you that when it's done you are going to wish you had it done a long time ago.

It's been awful out here too. Every time I go to the grocery store, the pharmacy has very long lines. Everyone is also in the area of allergy meds.
I've had allergies, asthma, a cold, migraines...I've had enough.

On the bright side, I went to the dentist the other day, and I'm cavity-free (haven't had one in years) and my wisdom teeth probably aren't going to make an appearance, so good news there.
