Yeah, I'm not sure I agree with that...it wasn't an in the moment thing...good 15 minutes of all that and then walked her out screaming, wished they did that prior to pinning her to the floor. It was bad. Then they brought her back for round two. Watching it all nobody wanted to be the adult that had to leave dinner. I've been around all sorts of kids on the spectrum, it was more the weirdness of the adults that let it escalate and then slapping her to the floor out of grandma's arms that brought everyones dining experience to a halt in the restaurant.
Well, obviously I wasn't there, so I don't know how it happened. I just know with my son, sometimes you just can't calm them down enough even to get them out. My son freaked out once about the order in which I crossed the streets...I needed to be diagonally across the street, so I crossed one street and then the one perpendicular to it, and he wanted me to cross the perpendicular one first because that's how we had gone the first time. He was screaming bloody murder, telling me I went the wrong way, and he was NOT going any further. I literally had to pull him along by the arms, and he was pulling with all his weight in the other direction...there was just no persuading or calming possible because he was so convinced it was the wrong way, even though we could SEE our destination up the street. He's not a kid you can look at and see immediately that he has any sort of issues, but they're there and it took us a long time to figure out all the triggers for his meltdowns. Maybe this girl doesn't have a disorder...I have no idea. But it IS a possibility. That being said, the parents should have done everything they could not to inconvenience other guests...but I know that sometimes it's unavoidable.

I would be so jealous if I didn't know how hard you work every day and how much you deserve the quiet afternoon to yourself. Well...I AM jealous, but I certainly don't begrudge you the time. My day was just so opposite...it was run run run, so I really wanted to get to bed early, but that didn't happen. After school runs, work, grocery shopping, DS's therapy, and dinner, I had to help both kids with homework. (Well, DS's was homework for his therapy, not school, and DD's was vocabulary words, so not really homework homework, but still). The kids are asleep, but DS is talking and groaning in his sleep...he had a bad day, so I think it's going to be a rough night. I could use a quiet day. What movie did you decide on?

Proud mommy moment. Each of our schools has an anti bullying club:inlove: any way the high school one does student escorts for kids at risk for being picked on(mostly special ed students) or have reported a problem among, peer counseling among other activities:joyfull: It's rather hard to get into and almost impossible for freshmen but James got in:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: I think it may have helped that he knows some of the special ed teachers

I'll NEVER cheer against the Tribe. My first job as a kid was working at the old Municipal Stadium.

Because I don't follow most sports, I hardly know one team from another. I'm more interested in what kind of jobs they had for kids at a big stadium. Sounds more interesting than my first job. Did you sell programs for the games, or were you working somewhere in the food concessions?

I went to the supermarket the other day and noticed a food line Frontera. I then realized that it has the same font and style like Frontera Cocina. Anyone know if this line of Mexican food is a Rick Bayless product line?
I am not one to buy processed food, but there was a salsa. Didn't purchase it though.

Someone may have answered this, but yes it is a line put out by Rick Bayless. I have tried many of the Frontera products and I have loved them all. There is a taco mix that is wonderful and a green chile enchilada sauce that is awesome! I also like the garlicy rice mix and the salsas. Yum, yum!:hungry: I'm planning on making enchiladas this weekend with the sauce.
