It's not "always the mom". That's an overgeneralization based on your opinion or personal experience. The fathers in my extended family and friends always share the responsibility of taking care of the kids. Of course there are dads that choose not to but you can't use the blanket statement about all dads. That is simply not true.In the US, you go to a restaurant, and it's always the mom who is carrying the kid and the diaper bag, and the mom is the one feeding the kid or taking the kid through the buffet line. Over here, it's almost always the dad. And my husband is a hopeless "flirt" with babies. Always playing peekaboo with the kid sitting at the next table, or talking to the baby who is crying in his stroller with a frazzled looking mom who doesn't know how to calm the baby. Fathers here are much more involved in general. At least in the Netherlands...don't know about other coun
I was 35 with mine.Is that an eight car garage?!!?!
We bought a deep freezer back when I was breastfeeding my daughter. Stored milk in it from pumping at work. Now that phase is over, and we use our deep freezer for food and it's so amazing. It's not huge but it makes such a big difference to our food budget. We're able to buy things in season or on sale and freeze them instead of buying them when they're more expensive!
They're lucky to have you. No need to have kids if you don't want them. Kids are an amazing adventure, but do is living life without them ❤
My mom had three kids by 23!! I had my one kid at 32. I can't imagine having had her in my twenties!
My favorite margarita outside of Disney!!!!We went out to Chili's for dinner last evening, then came home and just chilled for the rest of the night. Sooo relaxing...!

What a fun place to spend your day!! Cool!We went to the Efteling on Friday (the closest thing the Netherlands has to a Disney Park) and we had so much fun. There are a couple things that are not cool, like...apparently, you can't leave and come back on the same ticket in one day. So if you go into the park, and you realize you forgot something in your car, you can't go back and get it and come back in. At $40 per day per ticket, that's pretty bogus. Opening hours are pretty limited for the price, too..10 to 6. BUT, through the Summer, they have a party every Friday and Saturday night and the park stays open until 11, and they have a water show that is very cool. So we left at 8 am to get to DH's office to print the tickets along the way and we got there 5 minutes before opening. By the time we got parked and walked to the entrance, it was just opening and we were some of the first people in the park, besides the people staying on property who got in 30 minutes prior. So we headed straight for the back because we figured most people would probably just go for what they saw first, and all the roller coasters DH wanted to go on were at the back of the park. He got on those with no wait and was quite happy...we just waited because none of us wanted to go on with him.

We went from there to the other side of the back where the train station is and we decided to do the train, thinking it would be a great way to see what there is in the park and figure out where we wanted to go. Unlike Disney's railroad, they have made it so that you can't see anything but the parking lot and the picnic area, so it was not a fruitful trip, but it WAS cool being on the steam train...we were sitting near the front so we could see them shoveling in the coal, etc. After that, there was a ride where you sit in a little boat and go around and around, kind of like a carousel, but not. But DS really wanted to go on it, so we did.

There's a new ride called Symbolica that we wanted to try, but the wait time was 70 minutes and we didn't want to wait that long, so we decided to go to the Sprookjes Bos (fairytale forest) and to the OTHER dark ride, Droomvlucht (dream flight) and see if the wait time went down. Sprookjes Bos is really cute and it's got all your famous fairy tales...Pinnochio, Rumpelstiltsken, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc. And there are some I've never heard of, so they might be Dutch.

If I end up with kids, I will probably be in my thirties. I have no desire to have them any time soon. And if I decide I want them, I'd rather adopt, 1. because I have absolutely no desire to be pregnant and nurse a baby...none and 2. there are so many unwanted children in this world that giving one a home would do a lot of good. They're lucky to have you. No need to have kids if you don't want them. Kids are an amazing adventure, but do is living life without them ❤
Windows are closed.Could she have batted then out the window, maybe?
Now that's an empty threat, and you know it. There is NO way you'd give up bathing suit weather in January. You'd keep it for yourself.STIFLE. according to the peace treaty I get summer and you get winter. watch it or it will be bathing suit weather in January![]()
Ok, 9 times out of 10, in my experience, it is the mom. Better? It's not "always the mom". That's an overgeneralization based on your opinion or personal experience. Of course there are dads that choose not to but you can't use the blanket statement about all dads. That is simply not true.
It really was a great day!! And I hadn't been there in nearly 20 years, so everything was new to me. Plus it's always fun to watch your kids with big grins having the time of their lives. What a fun place to spend your day!! Cool!

Well, always is a bit of a generalization, in anything, but you can't deny @Songbird76 's point that American men tend to let the mothers take the most active parenting role, be it changing diapers or carrying snacks and such in the parks. It's a trait that has been part of American culture that we seem to have inherited from our British predecessors, the same way we've retained other cultural traits, such as distance from the other person when they talk. In other cultures, they tend to talk very closely together whereas as Americans, we prefer to keep the other person arm's length away. The British are also that way, a trait we share with them. It's not "always the mom". That's an overgeneralization based on your opinion or personal experience. The fathers in my extended family and friends always share the responsibility of taking care of the kids. Of course there are dads that choose not to but you can't use the blanket statement about all dads. That is simply not true.
I've done that at night thinking something was on my face when it was just a random hair blown by the ceiling fan.I just screamed and jumped up out of my chair -- turns out, there was only an imaginary bug on my arm. Initially, what I did not see, was a strand of hair that fell from my head and touched upon my arm--but the air from the fan nearby pushed the hair down my arm, making it feel like something was CRAWLING . . .on my arm. Once I realized it was just a strand of hair, I calmed down.
Also, I called the dog back into the room--he had bolted out of there! He can't cope when I freak out--I must always be cool, calm and collected for him.
