It is pretty. My Dad was there years and years ago when the hotel caught fire. We always teased him that he burnt down Disneyland-Paris.

My bucketlist over Paris would be Disney Tokyo Something about those parks seems to be a draw for me.

Yes, especially Tokyo DisneySea.
I remember seeing concept art for the Park many years ago before it opened and falling in love with it. From all I've heard, it definitely lives up to, and even surpasses, expectations!

Not a slasher person either. I love a good spooky trippy movie. I will not ever never ever watch Poltergeist......ever.....never ever! I think I told this story before but when my daughter, who was just past two and not speaking well was sleeping with me once......and in the middle of the night the tv popped on by itself to a channel of pure static. My daughter sat straight up and said crystal clear "They're heeeeeeeere!" (Just like that movie.)

Then she laid right back down asleep and I grabbed the remote, turned the tv off shaking and crying, and kept staring at the tv and my daughter the rest of the night. She's never seen that movie and was still babbling most of the time so I was freaked. I slept with the lights on for a week.

Oh my goodness. Have goosebumps.

Where are you going to eat? My favorites all start with C....Carthay (love those biscuits), Cafe Orlean (pomme frittes & monte cristos) and Carnation Cafe (lots of good stuff).

I also really like Steakhouse 55, I found out recently that you can order off the regular menu in their lounge. And that includes the 22 (or 24) chocolate layer cake.

I also love Trader Sam's, but no reservations for that.

Edit: I see you posted a list of what you were thinking. Good solid choices. Although I haven't eaten at River Belle since they switched to a sit down meal. I have heard some good and bad reviews, so I'll be interested to see what you think. I also really like Naples, the pizza is good!

We did River Belle in June. We liked it. They had good ribs there. I've also been to Carthay and Steakhouse 55, but for college students, they are a bit pricey. Blue Bayou is the priciest we're doing. I picked River Belle Terrace mostly because it's in the parks and isn't pricey.

I actually skipped dessert when we went to 55. Chocolate cake, especially the icing, will give me a stomach ache. I had a drink instead. Though for drinks, we're going to try Tiki Sam's. There's a lot of drinks I can't have there, but I could have a mojito or margarita there (or there's one drink I could have if they make it with orange juice and no pineapple juice), and I've heard the special effects are really neat.

That really doesn't surprise you does it? I remember the outcry when Rainforest did that at DTD. They said the guests requested smaller portions in surveys. Ha! That seems to always be the canned response.

Yea, I'm callin' Bravo Sierra (BS) on that, as well. I would never tell a restaurant their portions were too big...that's what to-go boxes ( not "doggie bags", 'cause the dogs sure as heck ain't gettin' my precious leftovers ) are for. A snack, lunch, or dinner for the next day, or in the near future.
I'd love to see the way the question(s) regarding portion size are worded for them to "conclude" that...!

Its easy to cheat on surveys.. like Disney has been caught a few times (where no negative option was allowed to be set, or they just simply ignore your choices if you set a negative tone.. or worse.. misleading text to push you somehow always say something positive out of a negative)

As for portions.. I guess they have never been to Houston and ther portions sizes lol.
I still get dizzy at the size of portions of restaurants like PappaDeux.. very nice food but the plate sizes are insane.

Yep, that's why we almost always leave certain restaurants with a shopping-sized bag full of to-go boxes...!!!!!

Disney questioners are clever. They are constructed for the answers they want to hear. Start going off target to their wanted response and the survey is terminated but you are thanked for participating. Annoying.

Are you a rollerblader or is this a new hobby?

I got a pair and a new helmet a few years ago. After nearly killing myself they are shelf decorations.

Nope, not a new hobby, but, it's been a while.
I used to be quite proficient on them when the kiddos were younger. The elementary school had a skate night on the first Tuesday (I think it was?) of every month, and I don't ever remember missing one. Plus, we, or I, would just skate around the neighborhood recreationally.
I've been on them 3 times recently, but, only in our dead end area, so far.
These skates feel a lot FASTER than my old skates. It could simply be a matter of perspective since I haven't been on any in a while, but, these wheels are several millimeters larger in diameter than my old skates, so I'm thinkin' there's definitely room for a bunch more speed...
Really tryin' to be careful and get some of my "skate legs" back before I venture out too far...

My DD took a survey leaving AK. They said 5 minutes. Took over 30 cause they kept peppering her with additional questions when the wanted response wasn't what they were looking for. Being also a Statistics Major she knew the platform and rubric they were using so she just kept messing with it.

I've never been to PappaDeux. There is one in the Western Suburbs of Chicago and I do go that way to a mall a few times a year.

I tought papadeux had country wide prices like Olive Garden.
They arent THAT expensive in Houston.
But then, all food is cheap in Houston.

They could have nationwide prices, I can find the menu but it is one of those places that doesn't post their prices on their online menu.

I still can't get used to the change in skyline.

Neither can I, actually.
The towers still show up in so many older movies, and I never fail to kinda' cringe a bit.
As I've posted before, a friend of mine from HS here was from the Tri-State Area. I was up to the observation level in the south tower twice, DWifey once.
The construction of those towers was also one of the things that got me interested in architecture in the first place.
They were, and still are, marvels, to me anyway.
