The comic book is pretty awesome. And 12 cents! If only I could go back and time and gather some of that stuff up!

I hear that!
At one point in his youth, my pop (my pop is 83 - who knows what those might have been worth now :greedy:) had acquired a few comic books. Turns out, at some point his mother thought they would be better used (since he had "already read them all") as wood stove fire starters...!!!!! :hilarious:

That is very nice for you and your mother. I'm sure she feels that you are more protected from worldly things going there. I'm glad you have found friends, we need them no matter what age. The people on here, including you are my friends. As well as neighbor's.
Yes, I have been going to the same school since I was 4 years old and so has my sister. We have some pretty close friends that have been at the school with us for a long time and also our Church. My Sister is going into the 11th Grade this year and I am going into the 8th Grade. I also love the teachers there and the small classes.

Yikes, $150! I'd just stick to the film for that price. When hubby (then just my boyfriend) visited New York, we got second row tickets for Movin' Out for super cheap at the theater's box office. I want to say they were about $40 or less per person. It was a great show. When it came to Minneapolis we went and saw it again and that time took my sister and brother-in-law. They weren't impressed, I don't think they like the fact that there wasn't dialogue that the story was told through Billy Joel's music. Anyway, that was kind of a random story.
They must have given you guys rush seats. Often you can get unsold seats the day of for really cheap. :) I missed Movin' Out in NYC and saw a touring production at the Tilles Center on Long Island and we were in the last row. I had no idea what was going on. Luckily, they served wine, so it was all good. ;)

My dad called this evening. Apparently, someone stole my stepgrandmother's purse while they were having shiva (basically, a post funeral event where morners come to give their condolences; Jews don't do a viewing). My dad's sister in law texted my stepgrandmother's phone and said, "If you find this phone, please call ..." Someone called them and said it was found on a bench down in Baltimore City. The purse was returned. All of her credit cards and $100 cash were missing.

I can't say my stepgrandmother is my favorite person in the world, but to bury your husband in the morning and have your purse stolen in the afternoon...I feel terrible for the woman.
That is awful.

Hubby signed up when we were forced into using X finity to get service. We were under a two year contract, and it wasn't up yet. So he signed on for another two year term. I think he's crazy. He doesn't ask me about these things. I watch the pennies and dollars, he goes for the quickest fix. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
quickest fixes are always never the solution in the long run.

I loved SpectroMagic. It was my favorite (well Boo To You is my all-time fav) but everyone pining away for WDW to bring Spectro back is nuts. If a parade needs to be built from scratch, let's start with something new.
I think they want something like spectro.. but not spectro itself.

the problem is, rumors says we might not even have a night parade for quite a bit of time until the 50th.
while disneyland limps their paint the night to cut costs.

Has anyone else been watching the Olympics? These athletes are all just incredible! I could never imagine being able to do any of that. The gymnasts blow my mind the most.
I'm following a bit, but I'm in WDW, so not really watching. Since so many athletes sho have won medals are from MD (including Michael Phelps, who grew up 20 minutes from where I live) it's on the local newstations, which I check even while on vacation.

I think I already gave my opinion on the Mexican QS options.. definitively not good.
More texmex than real mexican. (not to mention the US style tortillas and taco shells)

We have both great Tex-Mex, and authentic Mexican food here.
You'd think the Mexico pavilion would have more authentic offerings.
Although, we've never eaten at San Angel Inn, we've eaten at the QS La Hacienda a coupla' times, and enjoyed it. :)
