Additional $500. Plus we think me also being gone would be too stressful for him. In the end, he has to come first. He already isn't happy about my dad leaving, but he's too dependent on me and my mom for us to go anywhere.

I'd also be worried about my mom. She's honestly more distressed about this than my dad is. She grew up referring to my grandfather as her uncle. This is also one of the few times she's ever been away from my dad overnight, the last time being when she had my brother. My dad has friends and family at home. My mom would only have my brother. I'm not worried about my dad, but if I left my mom here by herself, I'd be worried about her.

None of this is ideal, but is the best solution we can come up with without overly upsetting my brother and without it costing a fortune.

Oy. So much to think about, it is rough when people happen to be out of town and short term airfare is so expensive. We had to wait with my Dad to get my Sis out of WDC and the court thing she was dealing with and get my niece back in the country as she was in South America and leaving her college team to fly home on her own would have been a dicey commute to the airport. So we waited a week and a half. So much goes into this all, so stressful. Pixie Dust and more Hugs.

Not to mention, (in the case of funerals, etc.) bereavement fares from the airlines have also gone the way of the dodo bird. You could always get those in the past. :banghead:

I love the Flintstones too

Actually it is even worse, we use to bump passengers if need be for funerals or critically ill relative, of course we asked for volunteers to be bumped with rewards of course. I liked the more compassionate side of business that use to exist and have more and more respect for the few companies that do have that softer side.

Okay Disney. Could you please send Paint the Night to WDW? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

I just read a report the Main Street Electrical Parade is ending in early October and Paint the Night will stay at Disneyland and be performed on select night during the holidays. Actually it said that Ptn would be performed somewhere at the Disneyland resort.

I would prefer that Disneyland keep paint and WDW get something completely new.

Wonder what they will replace the Main Street Electrical Parade with?

I tend to agree with your DH. The buses are free and we always use them. There have been a few times a taxi was taken. I can remember one that just annoyed the heck out of me where I should have but didn't think it through. My DS and I had a night reservation at Boma and we got out of AKL likely around 830 pm.

We were staying at the Coronado but needed to take bus to Studio's to take a bus back to then to the Coronado. We waited a long while for the Studio bus and when we tried to board the driver said no as the Studio's was closing so he was only returning guests to resorts not transporting everyone waiting was ticked. We were told to board the MK bus, 7 mile and then connect back to the Coronado another 5 miles. We did and had to wait a long time again for a MK bus and then board a bus still at MK to come all the way back to the Coronado. On the bus to the MK I wondered to myself why the heck I didn't just take a taxi with Coronado to close to AKL. Less than 5 miles between the two resorts, not exactly an expensive taxi ride.

Depending on where we are staying we also will hop a taxi to the Water Parks as it is a convoluted
why the hell you ditdnt take the bus to epcot? its right between DHS and coronado.
I had a similar problem when going out of AKL to coronado, I took either epcots or AK to then go to coronado springs.

Epcot also closed at 9pm. MK or DTD and that route at night is h•ll.

It is a pain. Even though she most of the time doesn't wear a ton of makeup she messes with her hair a long time. I don't take that long in the bathroom. Maybe 30 minutes at the most.

At best my DD and I are in the bathroom 10 minutes and we have very long hair. In fairness we both dry our hair in our rooms. The males we were always lucky if they were out in 45 minutes. The son well nobody wanted to go after him cause there wouldn't be hot water. He'd let the shower run until the entire room was a steam bath then climb into the shower. Horrible during hot summer months.

Is this the one I read about yesterday? An ambulance was called out. Or another one?

I missed that. A physical ambulance in the MK? That is rare. They usually tuck them away behind a fence and send in the paramedics with their equipment.

My header photo on Twitter is a big honk'n firetruck with lights flashing on the parked in the hub near the bridge to Tomorrowland (old hub)

It was an electrical fire with lighting. It was an awesome sight, slightly raining and dark.
