The camp sounds interesting. Hopefully her partner will catch on quick.

Even with the Zika that sounds like too good of a deal. I wish Minneapolis would get some good deals like that.
Today's camp was not fun. Each "District" had to research survival, and then do a power point presentation. DD and her partner had water as their topic. She researched, he played video games. She put together power point, he narrated his video game. She presented the power point, he managed to fit in "private parts". We are pretty sure that this wasn't this kids first choice for the afternoon camp. Luckily, she can laugh and giggle about it with her BFF after. They also watched some more of part 2. Here is hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Wow, well that stinks. I'm glad your daughter had a sense of humor about the whole thing though.

I LOVE pizza!!!! I haven't had Pizza Hut in a long time. My niece is coming to visit in a couple weeks and we are going to do homemade pizzas on the grill. I haven't ever tired grilling pizzas but I thought she would get a kick out of it, she is going to be 12 in November.
I love pizza as well, ironically. the pizzas in Mexico are MEDIOCRE.

I only buy the cheesy bread sticks at Pizza Hut with the sauce and extra cheese :p

Sometimes I think pizza is the perfect food as it can be topped with so many things. Although cheese and pepperoni are the best.

I don't mean any disrespect, but I've had pizza in Mexico and found it to be pretty mediocre too. I thought it was just because I was at all inclusive resorts, and they aren't the most gourmet. Any idea why pizza there is so much different than in the USA? It seemed to me the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni was different.

I wish I could like this a bizillion percent. We didn't have time to get a Margarita, in UNI, son in law was driving, it was hot; and he was in a hurry to get to the car. Maybe this time in October. Just hubby and I, I plan to take a cab. I would use uber, but hubby is very stubborn about that.:grumpy:
And me! Don't forget, I'm hiding out in your steamer trunk...

Glad you had a nice time. Sorry about the car. My truck goes back in AGAIN tomorrow. :(
Yea, well the thing is that my family keeps asking me when I'm going to get rid of it. It's only 11 years old and it is a very luxurious car, that still looks like new. The problem is that it costs a fortune to repair anything on a Cadillac and, I suspect, that the true permanent repair for this problem will be in the range of 3 grand. (head gasket). It is dangerously close to costing more to keep on the road then to just pay for a newer one. I'm going to start looking, but, since I don't have any big trips planned in the foreseeable future, I can take my time. This is the first time, in about 20+ road trips that it has actually broken down in route. It's usually just before or just after. Just another thing for a retired person to spend his limited funds on. I think my kids are worried that I am going to spend all their inheritance whereas I am worried that I am not, so there is that conflict. :joyfull:

Mmmmmm, Margaritaville. :hungry: There is supposed to be a Margaritaville opening at the, Mall of America which is about an hour away from us. I'm excited for it as I am a Buffett fan. The opening was supposed to be Spring, now maybe Fall.

Buffett fan here, too. Unfortunately, the last time I saw him in concert was here in Austin on the Coconut Telegragh tour back in '81...!

Cool! Ol' San Antone is about 1.5 hours away for us. :)

I've given up on Pizza but I do like Digiorno. It is inexpensive and as good as any Pizza store bought one lately, especially the stuffed crust one. Oh, for the good old days when Pizza actually had a distinguishing sauce that was just Pizza. Today all they give you as plan ole Marinara Sauce. If I wanted spaghetti, I wouldn't buy Pizza.

I think its mostly the dough and cheese quality.
Mexico doesn't have much premium cheese around. And most restaurants buy the cheapest unless you go to a very expensive italian joint.
The dough also is mostly mexico's style grain, which doesnt have has much glutten as the imported one sold in a lot of stores and used widely in pizza places in the USA.
Then, theres way more variety in big towns like Mexico city. Where they do import high quality cheese and dough from europe.

Our last concert was in 2014. We have a tiki bar and such for tailgating. But the last couple of years we have been at WDW when he was in any cities that we are willing to drive to. Cincinnati was the farthest we've driven. Tailgating is always super fun, we meet a lot of cool people. I read that he is going to do even less concerts next year.

Oh Dear. That's rough. As you very well know there is so much stress that comes with all this and then when you add in family dynamics with drama into it I'm sure he is has all sorts of stuff clogging his brain and sometimes bystanders are the collateral damage. I have this problem with my Sis too, the two of them are master litigators so they are quick and powerful with their responses. I swear attorney's need to win even when it isn't about winning. My Mom well she is just to that age where whatever comes to mind just comes out of her mouth and usually in a snarky tone. She has lost that filter.

When my Dad passed he was estranged from him family for decades. I was the only one that had seen that side of the family and that was for my Aunt (inlaw) wake/funeral. When I told my Sis and Mom I'd make the call to my Cousin in Atlanta. Wicked comments about why I would do that, Dad wouldn't have wanted that and finally when I stood my ground my Sis asked if what I was going to now befriend them and be best buds...and more......I kinda surprised myself and said it is the decent thing to do, nobody should find out that their brother/uncle passed from an Obit in the newspaper. I took the high road and made the call and asked my cousin to tell the rest of his family. I chalked that all up to stress but jeepers sometimes I wonder about the things come out of people's mouths and how their mind works to craft distasteful words. I'm fine with disagreeing but there are boundaries. It is odd what stress does in the moment.
I so agree about family dynamics. Sister has always been the bullying in the family. She ignored dad, bullied me, brother and Mom. It's now just me and sis.. she calls once in a while....I swore never to call when she kept bullying me for month's. I only answer her calls, when I feel strong enough to take them.

We had a Lincoln Towncar. Beautiful car. So comfy. Drove wonderful. All the bells and whistles. And that car cost a small fortune to repair anything and everything.
